Get rid of the anchor baby loophole too. At least one parent should be an American citizen for the baby to be an American citizen by birth. Period. No loophole. Parent must show born in America birth certificate or naturalization papers. No exceptions.
It must have been about the 5th grade when we were studying the Constitution, and it was the clear understanding of everyone in the room that the girl who had been born on base in Germany couldn’t ever be president. (On the other hand, since gender politics hadn’t surfaced yet, the fact that she was female didn’t enter into the discussion at all. We were all strict constructionists back then.)
If 0vomit had told the truth about his life history, and if the media had reported the same, then the voters could have decided.
But 0vomit and the media lied to cover his real life history up, and the voters were given no facts with which to base their choice on.
Even more egregious one could conclude Obama might have given explicit orders.......

I agree entirely.
There are two reasons we are the greatest country in the world. One, is God. We have been blessed beyond measure because the Mayflower pilgrims dedicated this land to God, and covenented with Him. And God keeps His covenants. And two, our Constitution sets us apart from every other nation. It was written with JudeoChristian principles in mind, by men who sought to frame it according to the justice and mercies of God. They were not all Christians, but they all relied on the Almighty, to give them wisdom.

That is incredible that that was thought but it was only someone’s opinion. It is unbelievable that our founders would have allowed such an injustice to occur.
A family is what ties one to a nation. An ambassador’s son, born in London, is still a part of that family and its nation.
To have a law exclude citizens of higher than caliber talents is an absurdity.
The Natural-Born Citizen requirement has already been removed via NON-ENFORCEMENT.

BTW, in 1795 a law granting NBC status to children of diplomats born abroad was repealed....
Since Der Fuehrer was apparently a citizen by virtue of his mother his citizenship would not be abrogated without his action to do so. You may have to have proof that you have attained sufficient standing to make such a decision.
I hate to bring it up again, but Stanley Ann Dunham wasn’t his mother, neither was the Kenyan student his father. Ask the famous babysitter. She knows.

There is a valid reason for the NBC clause that is obviously as valid now as ever. Barak Hussein Obama is the proof that it is a wise component of the Constitution an he is also an illustration that when pretty much the entire governing class is intent on ignoring the Constitution it gets ignored.
Pretty much. Another SCOTUS pick and we may get a ruling on the term of art NBC, not that we should need one.
I find extremely odd that we have had one non NBC after another running for POTUS with one succeeding. Yes I believe McCaniac is not an NBC. Cruz certainly wasn't and I'm not going to get into Mitt. It just seems odd...

Born outside and reared outside the USA until age 10.
His father was a Cuban national that became a Canadian before Ted was born and kept Canadian citizenship until 2006. Then he applied for American citizenship.
His mother, while born in Delaware, accepted Canadian citizenship before Ted was born and lived another 10 years in Canada. It is unclear when or if she re-patrioted to the USA.
Ted did not rescind his Canadian citizenship until quite recently.
