Judge Gives Blowhard Jim Acosta His Bullhorn Back
Canada Free Press ^ | 11/16/18 | Judi McLeod

Posted on 11/16/2018 9:30:23 AM PST by Sean_Anthony

Meanwhile, it’s a dog-eat-dog world of which braying donkeys approve

Proving the old adage that “The Law’s an ass”, a federal judge on Friday granted CNN’s request for a court order that would temporarily reinstate ‘correspondent’ Jim Acosta’s White House press pass.

In this case, the law’s not only an # but donkeys are riding all over it because it, in effect, gives a bullhorn back to a badgering blowhard.

His Press Pass was revoked. Tell him that since it was revoked, he'll have to go through another clearance process before he'll be allowed back into the White House.

That ought to take about six months at least, LOL.

Judge did not rule against the President or his rights. The stupid lawyers representing the White House case to the judge made a serious mistake.

Basically the judge hasn’t determined whether a President has the right to revoke a press pass to attend the briefings. He is allowing Acosta back in because the lawyers could not even tell the Judge who made the decision to ban Acosta. That there is a process in place to follow and the White House did not follow the process to revoke the Hard Pass.

The judge does appear on our side believe it or not. He clearly stated that he does not agree with CNN lawyers on several points and said he doesn’t care if Acosta is never called on. And if the White House wants to ban Acosta again they need to simply follow the procedure for revoking a Hard Pass (whatever that is).

A little research is everyone friend.

The White House Press Room currently seats forty-nine journalists (or activists, as the case may be). Why doesn't the President's people, Sarah Sanders, etc., do one of the following:

1. Put their names on a rotating list for questions, no elitists. Have a computer spit out the names in a random order, and rotate through that order. -or-

2. Use a lottery. 49 little balls in a spinning basket. Each ball has a name on it.

I am getting a letter of credence from my news director this adternoon and am alloying for my press pass today. Since the White House can’t deny anyone anymore, they can damn well issue mine. 33 years a broadcaster and a full time TV station employee, I more than qualify and guarantee you I’ll ask more important than that Trump-hating dweeb that’s for sure!

Ok. I'll bite. What path does this put us on?

IF Acosta acts like an ass, Trump should state something along the lines of “Well folks, Jim is at it again- therefore This press conference is over- and you can thank Jim for ending it prematurely- keep doing that until the press corp turns on Jim for ruining their chances of asking questions-

(a patently unconstitutional “ruling”), any POTUS can still refuse to let him into the WH

“He [the jugde] is allowing Acosta back in....”

Your use of the word “allowing” presumes this judge has the final word. That remains to be seen. It is not clear whether this opinion is binding on the White House. Even if it is a court order, which it seems not to be, it would be subject to appeal.

“A little research is everyone friend.”

A bit condescending, and patience is also our friend.

Let’s see how this plays out. I say this is a PR stunt by CNN and the only way Acosta gets his pass back is if the President wants to give it back.

Why would POTUS want to do that? Well, Acosta publicly humiliated himself and embarrassed CNN with his rude and atrocious behavior.

Trump is known for handing people rope...

A bit condescending.

Not really, 90% or more of the posts on this thread have nothing to do with the ruling. No one stated that the final ruling hasn’t been made, that all the judge did was re-instate his hard pass because it was revoke without procedure, that no one has to call on Acosta, that they could revoke Acosta pass at anytime if the follow the procedure for revoking a hard pass, etc... The whole thread has been doom and gloom.

Exactly! President Trump should consider “Fireside Chats” instead, where he speaks directly to the people. FDR’s chats were so popular, they won him a second, third, and fourth term!

Revoke or reassign the bailiffs and US marshals for this judge’s court room.

That is exactly what they will do, and when he goes berserk and disturbs the peace, have the security guards hall his sorry ass out. (Tading would be appropriate. What is thejudge going to do, make Trump answer accoster specifically?

I mentioned it in other posts.

CNN doesn’t exist in those pressers as long as Acosta is their guy and trump rightfully ignores him. And if they finally pick someone to replace him and voluntarily try to swap them out, nobody is REQUIRED to give the replacement a hard pass.

In the short run, CNN looks oddly vindicated. In the long run, well, it just may be checkmate for Trump that goes to the heart of CNN, not just Acosta.

He’s still a few beans short of a burrito. President Trump needs to ignore his ass and not take any questions from him until the boy can get his head right. Americans shouldn’t have to listen to his bull****.

Jimmy Carter tried holding "Fireside Chats" but they didn't work. However, President Trump would likely be much more effective at this.

The President needs to tell this Federal judge to go to hell because a mere judge has no authority over the White House...nor does the US Supreme Court.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I so much wish they would take this approach.

They've got to stop kowtowing to RAT judges who have no respect for the Constitution whatsoever.
