Fuel protests turn violent in Paris
Politico ^ | November 24, 2018 | ANCA GURZU

Police fired teared gas and used water cannons Saturday to disperse protestors in Paris who are demonstrating for a second weekend against rising fuel prices.

The so-called “Yellow Jacket” activists, named after the neon vest worn by motorists during roadside emergencies, are calling on French President Emmanuel Macron to step back from planned hike of taxes on gasoline.

While the mass movement focuses on the gas tax, it highlights a broader array of frustrations with Macron. The French president was already struggling with approval scores in the mid-twenties and an underperforming economy before protests began.

Macron can criticize Trump all he wants but guess which country is doing much better economically? By embracing BS Global Warming, Macron is raising gas taxes on the already high fuel prices thus causing extreme anger among his citizens. Meanwhile, here in the USA, I last filled up my tank for only $2.35 per gallon. (In Florida--- Sorry, California.)

I wonder if there will be Yellow Jacket protests in California against the rise in gas taxes in order to pay for their Train to Nowhere. I believe the original cost was supposed to be about $10 billion but is now approaching $100 billion for that high speed train which was originally supposed to go from L.A. to San Francisco but has now been scaled back to end up at....Fresno?

If they would just elect a Democrat president, the fuel prices would become perfect, just as they always were here when Obama was president.

The price of diesel, the most commonly used fuel in French cars, has risen by around 23% over the past 12 months to an average of €1.51 (£1.32; $1.71) per litre, its highest point since the early 2000s.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~WOW! That's about $6.45 a gallon...

All of Western Europe has $6-7 per gallon fuel prices. Russian prices are comparable to the US.

This is what the globalist-socialists want to inflict on the rest of the world with their corrupt central planning and ideology.

Even in France, the world center of this thinking, the citizens don’t like it.

“Teared Gas” - never heard of it.

I’ve heard a lot about ‘tear gas’ though.

Common Core journalism is everywhere these days.

If it was up to the Globalists there would be no gasoline except for them, and we would have to ride electric scooters to and from our slave like work. Be careful what you wish for, Kiddos.
