Mike Bloomberg Has Some ‘Splainin’ to do
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Posted on 02/11/2020 5:34:23 AM PST by EyesOfTX

Well, isn’t this just an inconvenient truth? – Just as he was beginning to gain traction in some national polls with his quarter-billion-dollar ad campaign – he now places third in the newest Quinnipiac national poll – Mini-Mike Bloomberg is about to face a hard truth about his real nature, and the policies he pursued while serving as Mayor of New York City.

The main policy in question is the so-called “stop and frisk” policy Bloomberg, who, remember, was then pretending to be a moderate Republican, aggressively enforced throughout his three terms in office. That policy helped to control crime rates in the most dangerous neighborhoods within New York’s five Burroughs by allowing police officers to stop and frisk anyone they considered suspicious without any real probable cause.

The policy was hugely successful, and was just fine for a Republican. But now, Mini-Mike is pretending to be a liberal Democrat, and trying to appeal to a voter base that has moved radically and violently to the political left over the last four years. Suddenly, the enforcement of a hugely-successful anti-crime policy that targeted mainly minority suspects (because, as you will hear Bloomberg say in a moment, that is where the vast majority of the crime is) becomes not an asset, but an enormous political liability.

Aware of this reality, Bloomberg has on a few occasions tried to preemptively explain this all away as a simple error in judgment. But this is a man who was Mayor of the nation’s largest city for 12 solid years, longer than Rudy Giuliani. Throughout those dozen years, Mini-Mike very aggressively pursued “stop and frisk” and many other anti-crime policies he inherited from Giuliani that without question targeted mainly minority communities.

Contrast that behavior to the policies of current Marxist/Democrat Mayor Bill DeBlasio, who has not only cancelled pretty much all of Bloomberg’s anti-crime measures, but is now just letting accused criminals out onto the streets without having to even post bail. This is the kind of chaos in the streets that the current Democrat voter base favors.

Bloomberg’s efforts at preemptive inoculation were already running into headwinds from the far-left radicals, but now his problems will become even more severe. Yesterday, audio leaked on Twitter of Bloomberg bragging to an audience in 2015 about “stop and frisk.” The language the ex-Mayor uses about minorities and their communities is very blunt and will serve to enrage identity politics radicals.

Below is a clip of the audio, followed by a transcript. You will see that Mini-Mike has, in the words of the late, great Desi Anaz, “got some ‘splainin’ to do.”

Donald Trump Jr. ✔ @DonaldJTrumpJr Omg! Leaked audio of Mike Bloomberg talking about the high crime rates among urban minorities.

“And the way to get the guns out of the kids hands is to throw them up against the wall and frisk them” #BloombergIsARacist

Embedded video 8,586 6:23 AM - Feb 11, 2020 Twitter Ads info and privacy 5,831 people are talking about this Transcript:

95% of your murders – murderers and murder victims – you can line ’em up. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male minorities, 16 to 25. That’s true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city in America.

And, that’s where the real crime is. You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of the people that are getting killed. You want to spend the money on a lot of cops on the streets. Put those cops where the crime is, which means in minority neighborhoods.

So, one of the unintended consequences is people say ‘Oh my God, you are arresting kids for marijuana that are all minorities.’ Yes, that’s true. Why? Because we put all the cops in minority neighborhoods. Yes, that’s true. Why do we do it? Because that’s where all the crime is.

And look, the way you get the guns out of the kids’ hands is to throw them up against the walls and frisk them. And they start, and they say, ‘Oh, I don’t want to get caught.’ So they don’t bring the gun. They still have the gun, but they leave it at home.

Now, the corrupt national news media, in its role as the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party, will do everything it can to keep this audio covered up for Mini-Mike’s benefit. But it’s out there now, and every pro-Trump social media account will be repeating it to their audiences from now through November. You can also be certain that portions of this audio will become parts of hundreds of hours of Republican ad campaigns should Bloomberg ultimately manage to purchase the Democrat Party’s presidential nomination.

Again, this was an extremely effective policy, one that made the law-abiding citizens in these minority communities far safer than they are today under New York’s current Marxist Mayor. But it is also a policy that without question violated the civil rights of many innocent people, the vast majority of whom are target Democrat voters.

There is just no way to explain that language, coming as it did several years after Bloomberg had left office, as an innocent error in judgment. Regardless of how diligently the corrupt media works to cover this all up, Mini-Mike has a real problem in a Party that is so heavily reliant on minority votes to have any chance of winning. And the leaders of the Democrat Party now will have to decide if they really want to sell their presidential nomination to such a problematic billionaire.

Ain’t it great?

That is all.

Bloomberg has some nutty ideas (about big sodas, etc) and some bad ones (guns), but he was all in all an extremely competent public administrator in NYC, especially when compared to what has happened since a Bernie Bro was put in charge.

Mayor Peter Peter Peter Eater supports stop-and-frisk. From either end of the proposition.

We can fix this easy enough. Just attribute the comments to Donald Trump every time you are on TV. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. The media will play along.

mini mike and buttguy have a Black voter problem. I don’t think Blacks think Bernie is the greatest thing either.

I believe that some Blacks will not be enthusiastic voters this year and a few may move to Trump once they are aware of his many pro-Black policies.

He will deny his “tough on crime” policy and bow down to the great god of PC like the rest of them. I.E. sell out Whitey.

A lot of blacks were in favor of stop and frisk too. It was their neighborhoods particularly that were made more safe.

What I don’t understand is how any Democrat can in good conscience want him to be President.
The Party leans toward socialists such as Sanders, and is against income inequality typified by the 1% who are said to control everything.
Bloomberg is in the 1%
he is also in the .1%
and the .01%
and the .001%
and the .0001%
and the .00001%
and the .000001%.

Stop and frisk wasn’t a Giuliani initiative. All cops everywhere have frisked suspects based on probable cause. This included cops during Giuliani’s tenure. Bloomberg’s innovation was to do it without probable cause, and win re-election twice in the face of vociferous criticism by segments of the black community. His other big move was to disproportionately assign cops to high crime areas instead of leaving them in low crime areas as decorative props to provide psychological comfort to NYC’s grandees.

Bloomberg is a control freak who rubs me the wrong way in many respects. But he is probably up there with Fiorello La Guardia as one of NYC’s most effective mayor’s.

This might tick off Dem voters (including blacks), but it might not.

Hypothetically, if I lived in an urban area and people were getting gunned down at the rate they are in Chicago, Baltimore, or Detroit, I’d be a moron NOT to support greater policing actions. There’s plenty of ways to attack Bloomberg, I’m not sure if the Left will abandon him for Trump on this issue. Their hatred for Trump is strong.

The problem is that NYC is not really America, which means Michael Bloomberg is the solution to problems that most Americans don’t have.

I would love to see Bloomberg debate Trump. Little Mike would swish onto the stage and stand on his tiptoes (like Jeb) to clear 5’ 8”. President Trump would walk on stage, dwarfing Mike, and then our president would drink from his Big Gulp that Mike wanted to ban. Beautiful!

Throw in the details that Mike’s stop-and-frisk mortally offends the globalist left, and Mike’s gun grabbing mortally offends all decent Americans, and Mike would lose by the widest margin since George McGovern.

I love it when a plan comes together (as long as Bloomie doesn’t actually win!)
