The surprising turn against President Trump by Matt Drudge as revealed in his Drudge Report has sparked quite a bit of speculation as to his motivation for the sudden change this past year. People have definitely noticed this change, especially the fact that Drudge is now highlighting mainstream media outlets as opposed to conservative alternate media as he has done in the past.
Most shocking is the detailed analysis by Josh Bernstein as to what he believes is the incredibly sordid reason for Matt's change in attitude.
A reminder that Drudge has NOT sold the Drudge Report but he has definitely SOLD OUT.

That’s Fake News. He switched ad buyers or something. Most likely Matt just has his Trump hating miami fag pool boys running it now. I seriously doubt he is much involved at this point.

I could never understand why this guy developed the following he did. I met him and spoke with him at the March for Justice (Oct 1998). He struck me then as a complete cipher. I’ve seen or heard nothing since to change my mind.

Interesting, but very Pre-CV.
Given that this is a global plague, there is an obvious tie-in, but I never considered M Drudge as a conservative.
Certainly not a conservative as I understand and use the term.
