In the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind the government stages a train accident in order to evacuate the area around Devils Tower so that they can conduct operations in secret.
This situation with the coronavirus feels a lot like the scenario in the move. The world governments are using the coronavirus to divert attention and hide something.
Many Freepers feel like I do. The worldwide reaction to the virus makes no sense. I ain't buying it and neither are you. We have never seen the entire developed world commit suicide to contain any virus not even smallpox or polio. We went after both aggressively with vaccines and quarantined those afflicted.
What is really happening? I trust President Trump. He is not a liar, he is brutally honest with his opinions and feelings. He is certainly given to promotion and hyperbole, but these are not lies. A reasonable and informed person knows when they’re not getting the truth.
Watching President Trump in the virus briefings there is a certain, somber tone in his voice. This is a tone of deep concern and worry. It seems to me as if he knows a terrifying secret and wants to tell us, but he feels that he cannot because of the possible reaction from Americans and the world population. What is this terrible secret?
That’s why I’ve posted this on Free Republic. I think Free Republic has some of the smartest and most insightful members found in the world. I want to hear your opinions even the tinfoil hat opinions. Remember the basic rules of brainstorming. Share your opinion, whatever it is. Talk it out. Do not discourage participation or opinions by ridiculing anyone. Just let the info flow.
Here are a couple of my thoughts.
Could some group of bad guys have successfully built a weapon(s) of mass destruction and placed them in cities around the world and they are holding the developed world hostage? In this scenario I see money being a motive more so than ideology. The WMD angle could explain the need for tens of thousands of ventilators should they carry out their threat, and it also might explain why we just printed trillions of dollars which could be used for ransom. Afterall, who in hell really knows where all that money will go.
For my second SWAG it’s tinfoil hat time. Could an extra-terrestrial entity have threatened to attack the earth? Yea, I know what you’re thinking but I’m watching Unsealed UFO files as I write this, and I did site Close Encounters Lol.

Because politicians make the decisions.
Politicians force people to do things. That’s what passing a law does. Politics attracts people who want to order people to do things. So if there is a problem, their reaction is based on threats and coercion without even trying to persuade.
Their actions are stupid and done with little thinking. If they had a good strategy, they would be able to simply persuade people without using force. That they use force shows that their strategy is stupid.
What would have the reaction been with Obama in office instead of Trump?
The World Wide Deep State knew they weren’t going to let this crisis go to waste. All you have to do is compare and contrast with the 2009 H1N1 Pandemic.
Bill Gates has been pushing pandemic panic for years now. He did a dry run of the global shutdown and socialist distancing messaging at a “conference” cabal in October 2019.

Most people think they understand what they perceive as simple data. Usually they miss both complexity and probable inaccuracy. This leads to faulty reasoning about what the universe looks like.
This includes politicians, who sometimes feel that they need to do something, especially when most other people of equivalent rank seem to be doing something.
I would combine the politician observation with a general poor intellectual formation of people, a tendency to be more emotionally driven than normal, and oddly enough a fear of death.
Young people don’t fear dying,, to some degree usually believing that they are temporarily immortal, but may fear parents or grandparent’s dying . Older people are generally either reconciled to dying or reconciled to eventually loosing the fight with death. Those most likely to go from this are those who are most likely reconciled, but many people in low-risk groups are having nervous breakdowns over risks that they vicariously take on.

I think it all starts and stops with China... upon the outbreak, after initial local denials, they bulldozed roads to block off roads aRound Wuhan and the military directly took over the biological lab. We found that several Chinese scientists at the lab had previously worked on same virus at US lab, we see pictures and reports of lax controls and practices, now we find out that Obama admin spent at least $3.8 million in research at that Chinese lab. And this is what we know so far. Seems like it is an open secret except to the public. That the virus came from the lab is clear, the accused bats are over 900 miles away and not even sold at the blamed market. What biological earth is China and US doing here and elsewhere? Why was US doing any research in China?

I don’t know the answer. But Trump did say we were attacked by a “hidden enemy.” His words. He knows something he has not yet revealed.

It is a last ditch effort by the NWO Cabal to end America as it was founded, and subject willing people to accept the “new way of thinking” (Bill Ayers) while having a pretense to rid the earth of those who disagree (Millions will have to be killed - again, Bill Ayers) They must not succeed.
The only thing that makes sense to me, at least the reaction domestically, is that the virus did in fact escape, intentionally or otherwise, the bio lab near Wuhan and the spooks in DC could not assure Trump that it wasn’t a catastrophic bioweapon. Remember the classified briefing given early on to congress? If so Trump had no choice but to err on the side of caution.
Now that it’s clear there’s no need to continue house arrest, Trump can hardly say “Oops, my bad forget the whole thing.” So opening up is going to take longer than it should.
Various governors and mayors have varying motivations to continue control, from a power trip to a Chicken Little outlook on life.
I think the China reaction spooked a lot of people but that very very early on the realization that this chaos might hurt Trump kicked in. And yeah the get Trump movement is international.
If Doctor Evil was custom-designing a virus to infect as many people as possible, this sequence would be almost ideal for the purpose.
MUCH more effective than the fictional nerve toxin in Close Encounters of the Third Kind; the toxin in the story line taking effect almost immediately, as well as missing having no transmission human-to-human capabilities.
A better analogy would be The Mockingjay, part 2, where at the gates of President Snow's mansion the first bomb blast creates a selection of wounded victims, and the second blast hours later takes out the first responders plus good people helping out as well as survivors of the initial blast.
