At what point do results and outcomes begin to matter? On the current political trajectory, we will be stripped of our humanity and forced to wear face burkas indefinitely without any debate, votes, benchmarks, or transparency. Not only are there no randomized clinical trials showing evidence that mask-wearing in the general populace works to stop the spread of respiratory viruses, but the reality of these mandates in practice for the past few months shows they are worthless and that the virus spreads as it spreads, regardless of human input. The latest example is Hawaii.
Just like in the Philippines and Peru, Hawaii’s government has imposed a long, strict lockdown and has never emerged from it beyond a modified phase one reopening. Additionally, the state has had an indoor mask mandate in place since April 20 and an outdoor mandate (even while jogging!) since July 7. It is the model for what the political elites believe to be the key to stopping the spread. Yet the results are the same as they have been in every place that tried to put up a cloth in front of the inexorable spread of viral particles that can only be seen with an electron microscope....

Yes, thanks to pandemic, we have learned that virus particles had first existed only in theory, indirectly detectable until the invention of the electron microscope.

The gentleman in the video below employs a non-institutional, common sense test that shows that your exhaled breath easily finds its way out the sides of your fabric “Hollywood” masks, your escaped breath probably taking the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and other cooties with it too, in my non-medical opinion.

Yes, I’ve been watching Hawaii, which had bad time of it lately. That virus does what it wants when it wants no matter what restrictions are put up against it.
In much better news, nationwide we just had the best 4 days as far as dropping new daily case numbers since this ordeal began.
Face masks should have been banned until we got the results of double blind studies of their safety and efficacy.

(I will say it again. A virus is the size of a smoke particle. Can you smell smoke easily through a mask? Using a mask to prevent a virus attack is about as useful as putting up a chain-link fence to keep out mosquitos.)
To Democrats, I don't think results ever matter, it's the "caring" that's important to them.
88 total Coronavirus deaths in Hawaii, in spite of a large elderly population, and an obese diabetic islander population. If you know how to read the y axis of a graph, you’ll see they aren’t doing badly.
Keeping people locked down, destroying small businesses, actually results in prolonging misery without improving lives.
Unfortunately the urban areas of southern Arizona are still hysterical. Rural and small towns are more sensible.

Gov Cuomo in NY got an almost unfair jump by forcing nursing homes to take in infected people. But other DimWIT Governors jumped in on the competition to do the same thing.
But Cuomo almost never said a complete sentence without saying more ventilators were needed. As we have found out, somewhere between 60-90% of those put on ventilators DIE. A NY nurse on YOUTUBE said that a NY hospital was telling people who were NOT that ill that if they wanted to live, then they needed to use a ventilator, The average poor minority is NOT going to think that the hospital was intentionally trying to kill people. But the figures show they were killing many more people than other states.
