In one of the DUMBEST ideas ever, Walmart has stopped accepting Samsung Pay. In other Walmart is now forcing us to use our physical credit cards rather than the much more secure method of Samsung Pay. Not only that we are now also forced to have another level of physical contact during the pandemic with Walmart via the process of physically inserting a credit card into their payment machines.
My strong suspicion is that Walmart has taken this DUMB move in order to hype their Walmart Card because every time I complain about Samsung Pay being blocked an employee uses that as an opportunity to mention that a Walmart Card is available and points to the promo on the payment screen.
Sorry, Walmart, but taking Samsung Pay hostage in order to promote your store card is one of the WORST corporate decisions ever. It just angers your loyal customers such as myself.
I am hoping that Walmart awakens from its utter stupidity on this and RESTORES Samsung Pay.
Which is why they are now holding Samsung Pay hostage in an incredibly STUPID move to somehow force people to get their Walmart Pay which I will NOT do because of them blocking Samsung Pay.
Who cares?
This fancy Apple, MS, Samsung sh!t is meant to entice tech crazed millennial hipsters in order to track their purchases, spending and track where every penny goes.
THEY are hoping that this trend continues eventually leading us into a cashless society.

I have yet to see a place (other than Walmart) that accepts Samsung Pay but not Apple Pay. Apple Pay is by far the largest in the U.S.
I agree. We don’t need another app that holds another place from which to have credit cards stolen.
WRONG! I frequently hear vendors tell me that their machines don't accept Apple Pay, thinking that is what I have, and then I go ahead and make the payment with Samsung Pay. An example is the Mexican grocery I go to in order to buy Pollo Rojo for smoking.
I never have problems with Apple Pay—I use it every day. I don’t frequent Mexican markets, though.
If not using this pay method is all you’ve got to worry about, you ain’t got nothing to worry about.

Walmart keeps its prices low by driving down their costs. Companies are forced to change packaging and content in order to make it through their buying process.
Ever wonder why products have X number of units in a box? Most of the time it has to do with how Walmart stocks their trucks and shelves. A 1% improvement in their cost-supply-chain translates into tens of millions of dollars.
Do you think Samsung pay—which has to make money by being the middle man—is charging more than the MasterCard or Visa Network? You better believe they do.
Cutting out the middleman has been Walmart’s most effective management tool for 50 years or more.
Walmart will listen to their customers. But if you are pulling out your credit card and using it —despite it being “less secure” to you...then you are proving their point.
Walmart is studied at Grad schools all over the world. There is a reason why some people hate them—they do not tolerate inefficiency and they are “machine like.”
“You” just happen to be “the victim” today.
Never even heard of Samsung Pay. Of course they also have Walmart Pay. Apple Pay and a bunch of other Pays. Really, at some point you have to decide which ones are worth the cost to deal with. Maybe Samsung didn’t cut the biscuit.
I chose Samsung Pay because I have a Samsung Phone with that feature. Plus I can add any of my credit cards to it.
Time for me to bitch about ZILLOW.
Zillow achieved number one in rental apartment listing(s) and is holding the whole world up for payment. There site even lies about the one-week free listing.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME at ZILLOW. Just block them.

I use cash and it still works.
I have Google Pay. But I don’t turn on blutooth. I only use Google Pay for Doordash. I’m just not that hyped on wireless touchless BS. Stick the card in the slot, not a big deal.

Walmart dictates to their POS vendor, not the other way around.
But Samsung Pay? Really?
Actually it is a BIG DEAL. Samsung Pay is MUCH MORE secure than using plastic. Plus I don't have to pull out my wallet and open it. Sometimes things fall out.
