SALT LAKE CITY — If residents of Salt Lake City violate Gov. Gary Herbert’s new “Stay Home, Stay Safe” directive, which went into effect Friday, they could be charged with a class B misdemeanor, fined up to $1,000 and spend up to six months in jail. Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall signed a proclamation shortly after the governor announced the directive, giving local legal backing to the state’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” directive.

Hey there Binger.

Somthin happen?

I was down in the den cleaning my AR, chewing on a grilled ribeye while watching Criminal Minds (I’m to season 3) and sipping on some Evan Williams and branch water with my 140 pound rotties.

My concern can be measured in pico-giveashits. Not only do I not live in Salt Lake, I don’t even go there.

Downtown SLC is not a whole lot different from Portland. Thankfully it stops at the city limits.

Side note: Why can’t the profit just wave his hand and destroy the virus?

illegals are exempt. after all, if they are confined they won’t cooperate with law enforcement. and we can’t have them living in the shadows.

I believe Salt Lake City proper covers a relatively small area of something like 24 x 24 blocks, right?

It may be a little wider along the North Temple corridor, stretching from the airport on the west side to the zoo on the east side, but north to south and five blocks or so either side of that corridor, it isn't all that big.

Nor is it even Mormon majority once you get more than a few blocks away from Temple Square.

You’ve got that right. Salt Lake is the Eugene of the Great Basin. Diseased commie shithole in an otherwise beautiful, if mormon infested, conservative state.

Doesn’t the government have to declare MARTIAL law before it can usurp all of rights ?

So we’re good to go a packed Wal-Mart but going out to the west desert where I have square miles to myself is a no-go? Good luck with that, they’ll have to arrest me. I’m out at the big sand hill just west of Desert Peak in the Newfoundland Range, come find me.

So the good governor gets to just write his own laws now? I’ll remember this come election day.

Yeah, I’ve been told that the garments stop bullets. I offered the guy a free trip to the rifle range to test it out, he balked.

What was funny was that I went to college in Utah after doing 6 years in the Navy (’88-’94). The returned-missionaries like to puff out their chests and talk to you like you’ve never been anywhere or done anything if you’ve never been on a mission. I took that bait a couple of times. “No, I’ve never been on a mormon mission but I was in the Navy for 6 years on an aircraft carrier. The countries I’ve been to are....” I also asked him, “Have you ever had a 4160-volt Voltage Control Cabinet explode 10 feet away from you?”

When I went to school after the Navy, they thought I was nuts because I wasn’t the slightest bit intimidated by the system. I told their director of housing, who was used to pushing around sheltered 18 year old kids, “In the Navy, quitting the job and walking away would make me subject to prison. The Navy was required by law to provide me with one meal and one hour of sleep a day. As a Navy nuke, I accepted that if I’m in a nuclear accident, my body may be too radioactive to return to my family. What makes you think I’m the slightest bit afraid of what you’ll do to me?” After that, they regarded me as crazy and just left me totally alone, which is what I wanted anyway.

Exactly, we’re talking about the locale that re-elected Rocky Anderson. By the way, I think it’s funny that he tried to get a job with the U.N. citing all the crazy liberal stuff he did as mayor of SLC and they told him to take a hike. Don’t know and don’t care what he’s doing now, probably retired and living off the money that he stole through contracting scams.

No joke. With the prevalence of predatory towing companies operating like road warriors and a lot of other things, I won’t even go to SLC or Provo for lunch. If I go through there, it’s on the freeway and I don’t stop. I used to take the Frontrunner with my wife and go to The Gateway but the tranny mayor turned that entire zip code into a homeless camp, I stopped going there at least 7 years ago.

When they were protesting the 2016 election of Trump, I noticed that they kept their protest in a 4 block area of downtown. If they took their Antifa crap into the neighborhoods, they’d get their asses killed. As liberal as SLC has become, it’s still more heavily armed than all of NATO. If people wanna chuck molotov cocktails at my house, I WILL shoot back in self-defense.

“...I just snuck out and drove...to Harmon’s at the Brickyard for a twelve pack of Budweiser. Lucky me I made it home without being caught.”

Yeah, a Mormon cop would have ticketed you for violating the Word of Wisdom, ordered you to read the entire Pearl of Great Price, then wished you a Merry Smithmas.

;^)
