The Soviet Union, a socialist dictatorship, famously locked up dissidents in psychiatric institutions. Once there, they were subject to cruel tortures in the name of restoring their mental health. Word is now leaking out that the Germany government imprisoned a German lawyer in a mental institution for opposing Germanys oppressive reaction to the Wuhan virus.
Germany has imposed extremely stringent shutdown measures in response to the Wuhan virus (although it is not enforcing them against Muslims). The country has had a national curfew in place since March 22. Under the curfew, people may not travel in groups of more than two people, unless they share a household, and they may leave home only for certain limited activities (e.g., work, sports, or buying groceries).
On April 3, Beate Bahner, a lawyer in Baden-Württemberg, German, issued a press release challenging Germanys shutdown. In it, according to a translation at the UK Column, Bahner contended that the governments mandates were flagrantly unconstitutional, infringing to an unprecedented extent many of the fundamental rights of German citizens. She argued, instead, that the policy should isolate those vulnerable to the Wuhan virus, rather than quarantining the entire population.

OK, I expect to get flamed by the usual posters who claim all of this has to be done. I think the petty and the professional tyrants have taken full advantage of this “crisis”.
Muslim areas exempted.
The opportunistic spread of petty fascism puts the spread of any viral pestilence to shame.
I know which one is more dangerous.
Fortunately, history has shown us the proper treatment for this disease... Application of mass quantities of lead can temporarily reverse the course of both petty and significant fascism.
11.8 million children worldwide have been killed by abortion this year so far.

Approximately 109,000 children have died from abortion estimated in living women from ages 15-44 in Germany to date.
(See World Abortion Policies reports created by the United Nations & http://www.johnstonsarchive.net/policy/abortion/ab-frgermany.html)
Where is the lockdown/crackdown for these man-made deaths!?
These are not mutually exclusive positions. We had to, particularly in urban areas, shut a lot of things down to limit the spread of the virus as we wrap our heads around its true nature and understand what we face.
But what we should be doing now is figuring out how to open up as much of the economy as possible without creating an environment where cases explode. Instead, some politicians are shutting down as much as possible.
For example:
-Scale the restrictions by population density and geography. Eliminate a “one size fits all” mentality. Use city, township, county, zip code, or geographic boundaries to delineate where restrictions are tight and where they are looser.
-Identify measures to help retail sector and other businesses to reopen. Use enforceable control measures like mask requirements, store occupancy limits, distance requirements between employees, etc...
-reopen outdoor spaces but use proven measures to limit access such as odd even license plate systems, limited admissions for controlled areas, distance requirements, etc...
Bottom line- figure out how to safely open up as much as possible instead of closing as much as possible.
I recently found out that your lead-medicine theory is just anecdotal. There has not been a double-blind study performed. I have ideas about who should be in the experimental group and who should be in the control group.
I could probably be persuaded to participate in such a double blind study, if some folks I trusted wanted to set-up and run that experiment.
It wasn't just the USSR.......The East Germans did the same. Meet the the new Germany, same as the old Germany.
