I had the honor and privilege to clutch a folded US Flag to my chest several times during my Air Force career, just before I handed it to a loved one of the deceased. I love that flag just as much as our President and see nothing wrong with what he did.

I’ve been to many military funerals where the family, spouse, etc., always hug the flag that is given to them from the ceremony.
I don’t hear anyone scoffing that!
