Lyrics & Score by U2 Lead vocals by President Bush

Listen Now

~

there's been a lot of talk about this next song
this next song is not a rebel song
this song is sunday bloody sunday

i can't believe the news today
can't close my eyes and make it go away
how long how long must we sing this song
how long too long for too long

tonight we can be as one
tonight tonight tonight

broken bottles under children's feet
bodies strewn across the dead end streets
but i won't heed the battle call
it puts my back up puts my back up against the wall

sunday bloody sunday
sunday bloody sunday
let's roll

and the battle's just begun
this many lost and tell me who has won
the trench is dug within our hearts
mothers children brothers sisters torn apart

sunday bloody sunday
sunday bloody sunday

how long how long must we sing this song
how long too long for too long

tonight we can be as one
tonight tonight tonight

sunday bloody sunday
sunday bloody sunday
let's roll

anyone who wants more details on my agenda can find them online
the web address is not very imaginative but its easy to remember thepartyparty.com

wipe the tears from your eyes
wipe your tears away
wipe your tears away
wipe your tears away
wipe your blood shot eyes

sunday bloody sunday
sunday bloody sunday
let's roll

and it's true we're not immune
when fact is fiction and tv reality
and today the millions cry
we eat and drink while tomorrow they die

sunday bloody sunday
sunday bloody sunday

Ok so somebody got creative and used Bush's voice on a song about a bloody Massacare in Ireland. what is the relevence or point of posting it. Are you trying to allude to the fact the the current situation and Bloody Sunday are simmilar? (or should I say was it the intention of whom ever did this to compare.)

I am not finding much logic in this post.

My appologies to you I jumped the gun.

It is just that Bloody sunday was written about a incident in londenderry Ireland where several "IRA" terrorist were killed by the british Paramilitary in 1967 and then the more recent version was dedicated to the eniskillen bombing in the early 90's. It has nothing to do with Iraq or and current events.

Spackidagoosh is okay.

Earlier the blog owner posted the link to his site, and Zavien and I wondered about it, since 'pimping for hits' tends to be frowned upon.
The owner said, "Yikes! Not what I wa trying to do! Sorry! Don't want to start off on the worng foot here!"
Zavien says they're kosher, just were clueless about FR etiquette.
(And, since he thoroughly questioned them I trust his judgement on it.)

I thought so too. Dubya is a rock star. I saved it and I'll play it whenever I need a Dubya fix.

If it just came out, people will assume that it does refer to recent events... Russian school children.
