This article says almost "Exactly" what I say about this issue. There are so many edges to this sword of illegal immigration. Like the writer says, it is inconceivable that the Bush administration has and continues to ignore this problem. All the great successes that GW has acheived will be negated when our next massive attack on US soil occurs. Note I said when and not "if". The Islamofacists have already shown us that they are both cunning and patient. Even the dumbest of enemies would exploit our borders to achieve their goals. I am not for a second hoping to get struck again, but am convinced that our terrorist enemies have already infiltrated and that it is only a matter of time before it happens. Needless to say if 20,000,000 illegal immigrants can cross our borders unimpeded, 1,000 or 2,000 terrorists could do the same thing.
All of GW's fine accomplishments will be negated and our WOT will almost seem fruitless if this scenario occurs.
When we have another 9/11 type attack, I am confident that our southern border will look similar to the Israeli fence. It's an absolute shame that this is likely what it will take before anything will be done though.

He (or Rove) thinks he wins more votes than he loses by being soft on border control. To make them see the light, we have to make them feel the heat.
He (President Bush) must now show the same willingness to spend whatever it takes to increase the Border Patrol’s manpower. This is a no-brainer Mr. President. To reduce the number of illegal aliens we need to step up and increase our presence on the border.

In the meantime he should put the military on the borders until they can be replaced by civilians.

Querido Señor Fox,
No nos diga cómo conducir nuestro propio país, Vicente. Los Estados Unidos de América nos pertenece a nosotros, no pertenece a Ud. ni a los Mexicanos pobres que manda aquí.
Ellos no son "trabajadores sin documentos." Son ILEGALES. Son invasores. Han violado nuestra frontera sin permiso, y están viviendo y trabajando aquí ILEGALMENTE. Si quieren vivir y trabajar aquí, deben solicitar permiso por medio del proceso LEGAL de inmigración. Somos una nación de leyes, y los ilegales no respetan a nuestras leyes. No merecen quedarse aquí.
¿Qué me pasaría si yo entrara a México sin permiso, y si yo tomo un trabajo que "no hará ningún mejicano"? Claro. Me echarán en la cárcel.
Vicente, Ud. es un sin vergüenza y un enemigo de los Estados Unidos de América. Estamos viviendo en una época de guerra. ¿Cómo se atreve decir Ud. que no tenemos el derecho, como un país soberano, de defender nuestra frontera?
