Maybe somebody asked their chief editor why they spin so hard.

Well, sure.

Republicans are rich people who want to steal bread from children, and Democrats are saintly defenders of the poor. It's impossible to be a terrorist unless you're a Jew. America is at the root of every problem facing the world, and anyone who opposes us is the good guy. Global warming is going to kill us all, and Bush is Hitler.

These are irrefutable facts, and we report them. So what's your problem...?

We'd be better off with openly partisan media, where the public has to make up its mind based on widely diverging presentations.

You, sir, are a genius.

"Reuters now claiming to have "no spin, no agenda"

I tried to run that statement through my computer, but it didn't work...

I believe them.

Did anyone ever consider that maybe they decided to stop playing the liberal Left card and start presenting the facts, without bias?  Maybe they realize they are helping the enemy and want to right their wrongs and ......

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!  I knew I could not get thru that whole post and keep a straight face!!!

Who's kidding who here .... oh so because they put out a lousy graphic it means we should believe them ... puhleaze!

I was once told that the key to good advertising is to always stress your weakest point. If you want to know what a company/product fails at, just look to see what they advertise as their strongest point.

Who are you to question Big Media? They know the news better than you because only they are qualified to make it up.

"And you can bet the focus groups didn't create the jingle"

Oh, no. Didn't mean to imply that, but just the way the tag line reads suggests to me that they force-ranked certain qualities and qualifiers with their focus groups. Which are always huge, and scattered across the country at several different sites in order to avoid any excess regionality, or to highlight significant variations between regions.

It's all very stultifying, and appeals greatly to the uncreative, collectivist impulse.

"The crap does spin to the left in Australia."

Oh, it's the same here.......but with a wee bit of rewording:

"The Left does spin the crap."

Heh - I doubt it. But I am fairly determined to be independent, and fully accountable.

When did this startling event happen? Has Karl Rove taken a break from world domination via the White House and taken over Reuters?

I've often found that when you have to have a phrase for it, it really isn't so.
