Kerry Humbled to Be Named Time’s ‘Person of the Year’ by Scott Ott

(2006-12-17) — Sen. John Kerry, D-MA, today announced he is “humbled and grateful” to be named Time Magazine’s ‘Person of the Year‘ for 2006.

“When I picked up my copy of Time at the newsstand,” said Sen. Kerry, “and saw my own image looking back at me, I thought ‘Of all the great people in the world this year — Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, Kofi Annan, Kim Jong-Il — how can it be you, John?’”

The presumptive runner-up for the Democrat presidential nomination in 2008 said he had not yet read the Time cover story because “modesty restrains me.”

“And yet,” Sen. Kerry added, “in a way, my whole life has been moving toward this moment when the people of this nation and their leaders would say, ‘You’re the one, John’. There’s a sense of destiny, and you can’t fight that.”

In related news, spokesmen for Sen. Hillary Clinton and former Sen. John Edwards said both would appear at separate news conferences later today to reflect on their feelings after being named Time magazine’s ‘Person of the Year’ for 2006.

That gigolo would LOVE to see his picture on the cover of TIME.

Well, Ott has the best spin I have seen to date about a particularly lame Time "Man of the Year" choice. Time might have well named John "Didja Know Ahhh Served In Vietnam" Kerry for all the difference it makes.

" Well, Ott has the best spin I have seen to date about a particularly lame Time "Man of the Year" choice. "

My personal semi-tongue-in-cheek take is that this is the MSM's dying attempt to placate the power of the Pajamahadeen, which will hound them out of existence anyway...

We will only accept blood-sacrifice.... ;~)

Humility is not one of Jean Francois' qualities. He thinks of himself as the smartest guy in the room. When have you ever seen the Massachusetts' junior Senator in a moment of humility?

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
When you're perfect in every way
I can't wait to look in the mirror
Cuz I get better lookin each day

To know me is to love me
I must be a hell of a man
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
But I'm doin' the best that I can

Some folks say that I'm egotistical
Hell I don't even know what that means
I guess it has something to do with the way
That I fill out my skin tight blue jeans

He was for himself, until he was against himself. But then, when he humbled himself, he was for himself again.

A lesson in humility for all of us.

Well I just woke up and you had me for a minute. But here is something readers may find of interest about John that is true.

The falseness of the Vietnam war protests was more sinister than most here on this forum and the population in general can think.

I researched the FBI Files on the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, (VVAW) and John F'ing Kerry.

The NV would contact the leaders of the VVAW months before they were going to start an attack on the south and advise the leadership to start preparing anti-war protests for that month to protest Nixon's retaliatory bombing that they knew would foll any attack on the south.

So, for that reason alone it would appear the 100,000's of protesters just appeared in the streets when if fact money front he left outside of this country was used to mobilize the antiwar movement months in advance.

And it gets even worse, the VVAW collected data on troop movements, tactics, equipment, strategy, and any other information from returning troops and passed it to the Soviets in Washington and the NV in Paris.

Several of the leaders actually went to Moscow during the war, during the same time period that Clinton was reported to have went there.

And of course there is the well know plot to murder several US Senators that were Pro War, and this is a meeting that John Kerry was at and voted on the matter. To learn more about the exploits of the VVAW and the anti war movement then just read my about me page where I have posted over 50 FR posting concerning the VVAW and John Kerry.
