****Rin Tin Tin's latest film doesn't sit well with Daphne Hereford, and if she has her way, the star's next drama could be in court****
CROCKETT To Daphne Hereford, Rin Tin Tin isn't just a dog, Rin Tin Tin is a lifelong cause.

I happened across the trailer for this several weeks ago on YouTube (looking for clips of the real Rin Tin Tin - nada), and wondered whatever happened to that movie. I saw the trailer when we went to movies the other year or so. My husband looked it up and ran across this article of about the same time, ironically. Sorry it's late, but hey, it's only a month old now; I've seen worse here.

My husband JUST sent me that pix tonight. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it before, though!

Just a note, for those who don’t know already. The dogs now called successive Rin Tin Tins aren’t actually related to the REAL Rin Tin Tin. They are descendents of a half-brother of the grandson of RTT - through the dam, not the sire (hence, to RTT). So, they really have no true relation to the real Rin Tin Tin.

On a related story...Mr. Obama is clueless about Breed Rescue groups. He assumes Government is the ONLY source for “shelter dogs”.
Not too surprising, given His belief in Government as the “Be All & End All”

The DVD of the movie is available on eBay, if you want a copy.
Does this woman do any health checks on her $3,000.00 puppies’ parents?

I don’t know, but basically since there are only very limited pups, I don’t think it’s much concern.
I’m more concerned about the so-called “ethics” of breeders who apparently have no problems selling to Presidents(elect) who have no interest obviously in a dog until “dog lovers” pressure them into it.

Wow! When I saw that pic, I had to look over my shoulder to make sure my girl was still there. She likes to pull up stakes and small (3” Dia.) tree stumps! LOL

You notice mine is the 1st comment on that video. ;-)
This is not the REAL Rin Tin Tin, the 2nd true dog star in moviedom (1st being Strongheart, who was quickly overshadowed by Rinty and hence, forgotten today).
Funny because I think this “Finding RTT” movie looks like a mish-mash of Strongheart and Rinty. Strongheart WAS a German “war” dog (whelped 1917), who had to be un-trained for civilian life. Rinty (whelped 1918) was a puppy in the trenches along with his sister when found, so he never had any war experience.
