John VoightI think it's "Jon" Voight, but, other than that, I listened to him on the commentary to the "National Treasure II" DVD, and laughed out loud when he recommended Newt Gingrich's book during the commentary. The other commentator (director?) was so befuddled he didn't know what to say. Hehehe.

Didn’t Dennis Hopper flip and support Barack over MeCain?

Pretty sure Eastwood and Drew Carey are libertarians.... still, more on our side than the sickos at DU.

I think James Woods is also conservative. Self described as libertarian with [atypically] strong national defense beliefs.

[I never thought about it before but Meatloaf's political leanings surprises me as well.]This doesn't surprise me. I heard an interview with him a nmber of years ago, and he's devoted to his family and country.

It’s a Seinfeld episode: George buys a car because it was owned by a John Voight [who turns out to be a dentist.] The [correct] spelling of Jon is part of the gag.

Glad to hear that about Carey. I always suspected such with him being an ex-marine and all, but I wasn’t sure. I can watch me some Whose Line without feeling ANY guilt now.

Bob Hope must have rubbed off on her. Bob would've loved that set-up.

I don’t know if he gets into politics at all, but Gene Simmons strikes me as a surprisingly conservative guy. Very pro-America, pro-military and pro-personal responsibility. Probably a James Woods libertarian.

Get a laptop. Why? The keyboards are a bit small. However, I just might get a laptop on top of a desktop since I might be doing some travel writing soon.

Jimmy Stewart. From all his movies you got the idea that he was an empathetic humanist. He was a solid repub though. Jimmy Stewart flew a B17 in WWII, I forget how many missions but it was a bunch. What made these idiots think he was a communist(which is what all the DUmmies are)?

Jim Caviezel [Jesus was a Republican. Remember that.]
That outta grab them. ;-)
To: PJ-Comix
Arlo Guthrie, who's father was pretty much a Communist, has been a registered Republican for a few years.
It's not that he's a conservative -- he's somewhere between a Ron Paulista and a liberal Republican -- but still, it's something.

Still waiting for Windows 7 to come out next month before buying a replacement computer. If you don't play video games, the computers are fairly cheap nowadays. Walmart has a Dell Inspiron with 19" wide screen for just $300. I was a little pissed when my 'puter was starting to bug out on me but I am overdue for one. I vowed to get a new computer every 3 years but this one is almost 4 years which is old in computer years. I bought one about 4 months ago(without the monitor)and it functions perfectly. It comes with a disk(seperate from the recovery disk)with all the drivers on it, plus if you opt for Vista the disk has the XP drivers on it also. Soon though 7 will be out as you say. I think I will stick with my XP.
