Our very own E the Wise pointed out the other day that any visit to the blog Little Green Footballs has become a repulsive exercise and should be avoided at all costs. As an inquisitive glutton for online punishment I failed to heed his warning and came away feeling slightly dirty and almost ashamed of myself. I felt like I had broken a taboo or peeked into something that was designed to be hidden from the public view. It was embarrassing. LGF is a sad shell of what it once was. A shadow of its former self. The once vaunted and often linked to LGF has imploded, its reputation shattered, while its author Charles Johnson has apparently become unhinged or sold out to the peddlers of discredited ideologies. In an inappropriately named piece titled Right-Wing Flame War! The New York Times turns its erratic and not always correct journalistic spotlight on the events surrounding Charles Johnson’s and LGF’s “break with the right.” Despite the sometimes obvious flaws it is an interesting journey into the meltdown at LGF and some of the fallout that accompanied it.

Glenn Beck exposed him as a smear artist and a liar with the notorious frogger incident.
He smears author Jerome Corsi as a truther while he defends real truthers such as the Communist, Van Jones.
He has banned thousands of people from his blog for daring to disagree with his stoopid reasoning and lies about that, too.
Perhaps the egregious act he is doing is he outs many posters and bloggers to his site, including those that have contributed to him.
Was he paid off by Soros as Pamela Geller believes? Is he a borderline personality disorder type as Robert Stacy (the other) McCain contends? Both? Maybe time will tell.

LGF has gone lock, stock and barrel into the looney lib zone and is now to be avoided just like DU.
It mentioned he moved into a “gated community” so he must have been paid off.
So when does he get that cushy job at “Media Matters” like turncoat David Brock?
Maybe now it will become Little Pink Puffballs.

All I needed to read, to know there is a problem with LGF, was to read the “The door opens, the door closes” article. That’s over the top and the site that instantly came to mind when I read it was DU. Similar rules and attitude about people.
