So who's sponsoring Glenn Beck's highly rated TV shows?

"For I light my candle from their torches." -- Robert Burton

Ok, look. I know there are a lot of you who are pissed that Glenn Beck has repudiated the "birther" question. I'm not crazy about it either. But as another "hold-their-feet-to-the-fire" media firebreather Andrew Breitbart put it during an argument with Joseph Farah of World Net Daily, the "birther" eligibility issue is not a winnable argument. At least not YET.

If and when we retake the majority in Congress, Americans might have a shot at unveiling and unraveling the background and official records of "AKA" -- the ONE believed to be a usurper in the White House. Nevertheless, you have to admit that even without the birth records ad infinitum, the REAL Barack Obama is being revealed. So... having said that, this post is for all of you who believe the tripe put out there by the Left and/or the uninformed, that Beck's ratings have fallen off as a result. NOT true. I did a check on it and here's the latest from Nielsen:

5PM – P2+ (25-54) (35-64)

Glenn Beck – 2,354,000 viewers (648,000) (1,083,000)

Situation Room—620,000 viewers (172,000) (225,000)

Hardball w/ C. Matthews – 677,000 viewers (182,000) (274,000)

Fast Money – 304,000 viewers (84,000) (132,000)

Showbiz Tonight —230,000 viewers (92,000) (112,000)

Do the math. Glenn outpaces all the others combined in his time slot -- 2, 354 million viewers compared with an aggregate total of 1, 831,000 for the rest.

By comparison.... Larry King only had 428,000 viewers. Joyless Behar only had 402,000. And they're in primetime.

When The Bloviator was on vacation a couple of weeks ago, Beck outpaced The King of Factor Porn's prime time numbers five out of five nights.

As for sponsors drying up? As much as I loathe the George Soros-sponsored propaganda tool Media Matters, they're the ones diligently keeping track of who advertises on Beck's shows. Among those advertisers who have dropped Beck? Allstate Insurance, Anheuser-Busch, Best Western International, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals (maker of Flomax), Brother International Corporation, Hear Music, Idaho Potato Commission, Intersections Inc., Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School, Marriott International, Nestlé USA, Republic of Macedonia, Starkist Co., United Healthcare, USFidelis, Volkswagen and Western Union. Undoubtedly they've done so because of pressure from the Left, their warm and cozy spot in bed with the Obama Administration/Congress (but then, I repeat myself), or -- as in the case with Progessive Insurance -- they ARE the Left.

As of May 11th:

So who's still advertising on Beck? May 11 edition ...

May 11, 2010 6:03 pm ET by Media Matters staff

At least 100 advertisers have reportedly dropped their ads from Glenn Beck's Fox News program since he called President Obama a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people." Here are his May 11 sponsors, in the order they appeared:

Being a bearer of truth carries penalties administered by those who seek to deceive. But ultimately, it is the truth that will set us free. Support those advertisers who support Beck. He's a lantern shining the way out of this increasingly enveloping darkness.

"Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth." - John 12-35

Do we have any actual evidence whatsoever for why advertisers may have “dropped” his show, or is it all rumors and wild speculation?

I do know that quite a bit of them never actually had advertisements on Glenn’s show, they just added their names to the “list” anyways.

Others dropped advertising not only on Glenn’s show but any political commentary show including Overbite and Chrissy.

Seems to me the guy would have the decency to reject those ads that feature electric wheelchairs paid for by tax-money, but he doesn't.

Dear Mr. Beck,

There are no words in the English language that can convey my CONTEMPT and DISGUST for you and your handling of Obama’s eligibility!!!!

You were more than INSULTING!!

Somethings in life are deal breakers. Glenn, how you have treated those with LEGITIMATE questions about Obama’s eligibility is a DEAL BREAKER!

You are either a phoney or a coward!

If you are a phoney, you will sell your talents to the fascist oligarchy. You will lick the boots crushing our necks.

If you are a coward, **NOW** is the time to act! Because...

**The fascist oligarchy **WILL** CARRY OUT THEIR THREATS AGAINST YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ANYWAY!!!
**The fascist oligarchy will throw you off the air anyway!
** The fascist oligarchy will steal your money anyway!
** The fascist oligarchy will reveal your deepest darkest secrets anyway!

With revulsion,

Wintertime

P.S. I have the same message for Rush, Hannity Ingram, OReilly, Medved, Levine, Boortz,...and the other yappers who have FAILED to defend the CONSTITUTION you are cry crocodile tears over!

Comcast is set to buy NBC. I hope they change their format to truly conservative and put you, Fox News, and Clear Channel completely out of business. All of you deserve it!

Beck said that he would most certainly end up with bruises for this latest run on the big boys. So, it shows that he knows what is coming.

Love ya...but have to say, the above post is a non-starter. You would do this to a man who is, along with very few others, protecting our constitution DAILY. Better take another look and understand that to many, your narrow viewpoint is a good way to lose, forever. No one can get it all right....when Glenn is proven wrong, he will acknowledge it.

Glenn Himself doesn’t decide on which advertisers he wants, that is the FoxNews netowrk that decides that.

I find it funny that Glenn Beck now has more “Buy Gold” commercials on his show than Alex Jones....

BS. He can certainly refuse to be associated with certain advertisers.

Please explain how Beck’s failure to support the birther movement translates into him being a turncoat and a failure with zero interest in defending the Constitution.

Your letter was an emotional response to a political issue. Beck DEALS IN FACTS, which is why he is reluctant to support the birthers. This does not, by any stretch of the imagination, mean that he is a failure, or a sellout, or that this is even a “deal-breaker” of an issue.

On another note, he does more to defend this country and its Constituion in a single day than most people do in a lifetime. Grow up.

Maturity comes when you’re able to distinguish which battles are winnable and worth fighting. Beck, who is literally risking his life to educate Americans about the methods and dangers of Progressivism, is mature.

So Beck et al refuse to buy into the birther lunacy.. and thus are enemies?

How typical.

Well?...We have what we have in the way of conservative yappers. And...They do get **some** of the news out.

Nearly all have ignored Obama’s eligibility. Some like Beck, Coulter, OReilly, and Medved were utterly INSULTING. They are skittish on some subjects such as some of the outrageous bullying done by homosexuals, and few have called for the outright closure of our government K-12 ( Marxist) schools. Few directly call Obama and his minions what they are, Marxists, but use the euphemism of “radical leftist”.

But...As you say, they are out their daily doing a lot of good at least in the areas they are brave enough ( or have permission) to tackle.

Rush half jokingly says, “Talent on loan from God!”.

There is truth to that statement. Having been granted this measure of talent comes with the responsibility to **USE** it!If Rush, Beck, Coulter, Levine, OReilly and the rest are phonies and cowards, if they continue to hide their light under a bushel, and continue to fail to defend the Constitution, God will raise up new talent that will eclipse what they have given.

By the way...Comcast is set to buy NBC. Comcast has reputation for seriously seeking to make a **profit**! I hope they will offer us a true conservative alternative to our current crop of weenie conservative yappers.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I have not called them “enemies”, therefore, I can not defend a strawman argument that you created.

But... I will never fully trust them again to be honest about defending the Constitution or conservative principles, and there will always be some suspicion that they are phonies and/or cowards. When it comes to trust some things are deal breakers. How they handled Obama’s eligibility was a deal breaker.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

They didn't need to “fight” anything. Merely reporting the facts in a neutral manner without opinion would have been more than enough to alert their listeners that there was a problem with Obama’s eligibility.

Which would have been easier, trying to fight back every grab for more Marxist control or to have knocked Obama out of the park before the 2008 primaries?

Maybe they think the whole issue is bull$hit.

Is your opinion the only one allowed?
