One boring Saturday about a year ago, there was nothing going on here on FR and nothing good on TV. (naturally)I started channel surfing and caught a 2 hr documentary on Chi's PBS station called something like : "Jews In Chicago, A History".
Now people think 'Chicago' and the Irish, or Italians & Al Capone, pops into their head. But growing up in Chi I knew there was a heavy Jewish history and presence all over the city. I didn't know HOW BIG it was. It was really fascinating and a good two hours spent. (Obama's 'Mansion' and Hyde Park neighborhood were all built buy Jewish Merchants. But I knew that before)
The narrator was a Jewish Historian from Chicago, so there was no bias or antisemitism, but he flatly said, 'Jews are natural Socialists'. He said it like he was reading the weather. It was just a 'matter of fact'.
Now that statement reminded me of something I had previously read about the old HUAC Hearings and why they ' came to a screeching halt. The reason.....
Too many Jews were being named as Commies, the ADL raised a big stink and they used the 'A' word on Congress: Antisemitism.And that Congress went after Edward G Robinson for his membership in the CPUSA and 'alleged' pro USSR leanings after WWII didn't help. That was like the final blow for HUAC. He was one fish too big to fry. Boggie and a whole bunch of Gentile Movie Stars went to DC to protest and defend Eddie G (yes, he was Jewish)
So no, you're not wrong.
The entire list should be released to see how bad this corruption is. The members of the campaign would be interesting. If the establishmedia had any ethics they would require names and emails to expose the entire fiasco.

They obviously are very *needy* starting a *club* and reaching out to find *brothers and sisters* to validate their belief system. I suspect they reached out to show-business types in movies & TV to influence the likes of Tina Fey, Letterman etc.,

You are not alone. I noticed it too. It is rather conspicuous. But mind you, they are secular humanists from Jewish backgrounds. I doubt they ever go to temple except for weddings and funerals.

The Left Media is going to use 'Sherrod' to distract from this story. Am waiting for the Right to really respond here. Every time a 'racist' charge leveled (as it has been already, against Breitbart and Fox News) the 'who' behind it should be challenged as a 'Journolister'. The question deserves asking; as do the implications deserve to be ascribed and the pressure deserves to remain.

Yes, you are. We don't know what religion most practice or their family's history. Just because many have Eastern and Southern European names doesn't mean they are of a specific religion or culture. I have some friends named Stein, which is a common Jewish name, who can't find a single practicing Jew in their family; they are all Roman Catholic.

There is a disproportionate number of American Jews on the list. It's obvious that American Jews in the media, not all, but a disproportionate number hate the country they live in.

Like many other traditions this is breaking down in the USA and intermarraige is more common.
