Another thread pointed this out. The 60’s mentality with Weathermen, Black Panthers, “I’m OK, Your’e OK,” etc spawned a mentality of entitlement and bad behavior.

That is how sick and petty Obama and the Left are.
The only thing he has had out of this list is success, handed him to by whoever is funding and using him. His education is a mystery, his marriage is clearly a political alliance (his wife's family were big in black Dem politics in Chicago), his own family seems non-existent and he doesn't even seem to know what country he considers his family to be from (Kenya? Indonesia?), and his "hard work" seems to consist simply of floating around to star appearances and then getting back to the golf course. Even when he was at the Harvard Law Review, for which he was the only editor never to have written an article, he was famous for appearing very rarely at the office and expecting to be treated as a celebrity when he did.
I think the author is being a little unrealistic about Comrade Obama.

This is true. Steel wrote the book and lecture long before Obama won the primary.
No wonder conservative blacks realize that Obama has set race relations back 25 years.
This man is no leader. He has alienated half of the population. His only hanger ons are his uneducated black followers.

The cry of black racism has long served that sector of the population well. It has allowed individuals otherwise insignificant like the rest of us, their perpetual fifteen minutes of fame, and given the patina of celebrity to those who point fingers at largely imagined injustices. From what I have read about this case, Omar Thornton killed his fellow workers because he had been caught red handed, on video tape, stealing beer from his place of employment. One report indicated that this was not the first time. It is difficult to argue with a film depicting you stealing. Evidently, confronted with the truth, and no longer able to exist on the lies of racial injustice, was too much for Thornton. He, like anyone who blames society for their own personal sin, retaliated on those around him for his own bitterness and inner evil. It is time for the media and the observer to recognize that nearly every employer, particularly larger ones, literally bends over backwards to appease their black employees. It is simply too easy for blacks to use the race card and most human resources departments are loath to let that happen.
