A new CBS5/SurveyUSA Poll shows Republican Carly Fiorina now with a 5-point lead over incumbent Democrat Sen. Barbara Boxer in the California Senate Race.
California Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has increased her lead over Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer to five percentage points according to a new CBS 5 KPIX-TV poll released Thursday, which also shows gubernatorial candidates Democrat Jerry Brown and Republican Meg Whitman in a dead heat.
The CBS 5 poll, conducted by the research firm SurveyUSA, showed Fiorina edging Boxer 47 percent to 42 percent, compared to a CBS 5 poll one month ago showing Fiorina over Boxer 47 to 45 percent.
The poll results indicated Fiorina’s support was essentially unchanged among men and women, young and old, white and Hispanic while Boxer had lost small ground among men, younger voters, and independents.

I’d like to see more than just SurveyUSA reflect a Fiorina lead, but it’s encouraging nonetheless.

That’s encouraging, but I’m not going to get to worked up over it. The unions in California will come home for Boxer, and I believe that they can easily manufacture 5-points, or more. Fiorina will need to have something north of a 8-point lead if she’s going to pull this off as every union member in California - alive and dead - will be voting for Boxer.
Wow! I must say that this pleasantly surprises me.
The worst thing conservatives and republicans can do with regard to the upcoming midterms is to get overconfident and take voters for granted.
Every vote is going to count in these upcoming elections and conservatives and republicans are going to have to fight for every single vote they can get and in every single race against any democratic candidate.
Each race is a battleground and that is how the conservatives and republicans must look at the situation.
Unfortunately, it’s not enough to overcome the vote fraud.
Fiorina is a RINO and may not be a whole lot better than Boxer, but it will be soooooo good to see “Ma’am” defeated. Her arrogant balloon needs to be popped. Plus, if this lead is real, and considering this is CA, the dems in general are in for a historic shellacking. Yee hawww.....
for the record Survey USA has in my opinion best record. Even when I don’t like their polls they hit it right on almost always.
Conservatives and republicans must not become complacent about leads and polls.

Exactly what I've been saying the whole time. Boxer will have the unions, illegals and other hard-core pressure groups on her side.
