The Korans that were to be burned in a protest by a independent fringe church in Forida, are now in the hands of a local Fredericksburg Pastor.
The Rev.Pat Mahoney hopes to distribute the Korans to churches for use in "interfaith dialogue."
Can interfaith dialogue be a tool used by Islamists to gain legitimacy?
Are there Biblical examples of "interfaith dialogue"?
What are your thoughts?

So now those Korans will be distributed, that must have been a very convincing set of conversations that the FBI delivered to that Pastor.
The ONLY reason to have interfaith dialog with Islamics is for evangelistic purposes.
American Christians should be using the influx of Moslems to America as an Evangelical opportunity. Evangelize them. Bring them to the full knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.

Islam teaches that Jesus did not die on the Cross but that someone else took his place or he was rescued. Kinda like some sort of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", "DaVinci Code" concoction. Nor do they believe in the Trinity or that you can even dare to call God, Father or that He is a loving God.
Not much 'dialog' gonna happen with those obstacles.
Amen! Praying for hardened hearts is sometimes difficult btw.

Worse, he’s a “liberal” that claims the name of Christ.
He’s probably one of those that believes that he can pick and choose what he takes as truth from the Bible, in essence setting himself up as a higher authority than the Bible.
They can hand out Korans when they hand out Bibles in Mecca!

Oh, for Pete’s sake, they will never get read if they hand them out at mainline Protestant churches or whereever.
[Face palm ...] Not that there’s any wrong with a bunch of those gathering dust on church library shelves.
But, seriously, it would be hard to “dialog” based on something as irrational as the Koran.
Dialogue with Islam is like trying to interact with a rapid dog.
Like Ol’ Yeller, it might be best to just put Islam down.
