New White House hope return policy

Here at the White House it has come to our attention that many of the President's supporters would like to return the hope that was sold to them during the 2008 election campaign. First we would like to point out what a mistake it would be for you to return your hope so prematurely. Sure unemployment is sky high, sure the TSA is abusing civil liberties in a way the writers of law and order could never have imagined, sure the war in Afghanistan rages on, sure Gitmo is still open, sure there is no public option, and sure Bill Gates' taxes are still too low even to his liking... where was I going with this?

The point is, I think, that hope is not dead yet, it's only rolling on the ground writhing in pain as we watch helplessly. Don't any of you read Charles Krauthammer? The President is the comeback kid according to Charles and many, many other members of the media who never read his column.

Still, if you must return your hope we have established guidelines so it may be done in an orderly fashion.

1. All hope must be returned with a receipt. Acceptable forms may include yes we can buttons, bumper stickers, or T-shirts. Also acceptable are printed yes we did congratulatory e-mails so long as you were the recipient on the e-mail account.

Given the breaking print news, the continuing 2.0 version of Obama “hope” is for America and the democrat party to be taken over completely by Communists.

Obama seems to simultaneously tick off both the left-wing of his party (which is all that remains basically) and the middle and the right. That hope thing can be a double edged sword.
