a study in stupidity

The university of Maryland recently published a study concluding that Fox News viewers are morons. Okay it doesn't actually say that, but we can all read between the lines. Democratic underground followers are cackling amongst themselves and sharing it on facebook as their consolation prize for the 2010 shellacking.

Part of me doesn't want to do this, I have liberal friends, I don't want to leave them with nothing to celebrate on New Year's Eve. I mean, seriously, we got the House of Representatives and all they got was Rice A Roni, turtle wax, and a version of the home game. It would be mean of me to tear apart that study... hey but I'm a Republican, mean is what I do.

snip

If, for example, you voted Democratic you actually believe that Barack Obama has either kept troop levels the same in Afghanistan (25%) or decreased them (26%), only 47% of Democrats correctly guessed that Barak Obama increased the number of US troops in Afghanistan(apparently 2% either didn't understand the question or passed out).

That's okay, Barack Obama has only had like three televised appearances about the surge since becoming President. I guess its true, smart people don't watch TV.

From what we understand, the study is not available in its entirety yet so we can’t see what all the questions are.

The study isn’t, the survey upon which it is based, is. At least that’s our understanding.
