I can’t answer for Beck.

However I do know that the left is desperate for some right wing violence as a reason for a government crackdown. That means we’re winning as long as we keep the political pressure on.

The date is easy enough to find...LexisNexis News...Mr. BECK: (From Clear Channel Radio/"The Glenn Beck Program", May 17, 2005)
There simply may not be any transcripts on the Net. I can't find any after a simple search and I'm not wasting my time looking for more.

Aren't they always desperate for that? SSDD. It's straight out of the handbook. Consider Hugo Chavez' crackdown in Venezuela.
The left, however, says the same thing when the right holds political office. Leftists usually wait until their side holds office thinking they'll get a pass for their violent actions.

Aaaaaanyway...at the rate things are going Americans will simply be worn down, spineless, chain wearing nubs.
I hope I die before I get old...

Problem with tracking down your Glenn Beck info is squarely the fault of Glenn Beck and his Glenn Beck website staff. His website is a mess and hard to navigate. He was doing a transcript page, at one point, of some of the best moments on radio, but abandoned it to instead put up the clips off the radio show video cam. I was hoping the site would be like Rush Limbaugh’s and have transcripts even with the clip added in, but instead they add a summary of the radio clip. The re-vamped site is messy. Has good info the research and read and nice blogs and stuff. But my goal of finding transcripts from his radio show as that was what I was researching yesterday was futile. Clips are ok. it takes a while to get used to how to use the site which is in four parts, basically. Radio show, Tv show, the pay member insider section and a blogs/links to research area are the four parts. Plus now Blaze stories are listed on the homepage. So a bit messy.

Glenn Beck: Fundamental Transformation
We cannot as a nation survive much longer. We must take a page from our own history at the Alamo and “draw a line in the sand.” We must decide who we are, what we are capable of and look to the heavens to chart our course. Do we return to the ideas of the past or do we continue West to the yet unrealized and unfulfilled promises laid out in our Founding ideals? We must choose as individuals and then put those choices into action. We must demonstrate to our children, neighbors and to ourselves that it is not policies or politicians but people that make this nation what it is for better or for worse.

The men at the Alamo used violence to take the chapel from the Mexicans. They didn't just talk. Drawing a line in the sand was a commitment to dying in bloody, deadly battle for the cause of freedom.
Beck shouldn't use such a metaphor if all he's going to do is talk his E4. While well intentioned that's, IMHO, just weak and does a disservice to the men who gave their lives in that battle!

I had a feeling you were one of those.

You might want to take a look at your history before running your mouth about the Alamo.

You'll need to clarify your statement. I have no idea whatsoever what you're implying with your "one of those" comments.

You might want to take a look at your history before running your mouth about the Alamo.
Again you need to clarify your statement. What history should I be looking at and what can you tell this Texan about the Alamo that I don't already know?
Are you saying that drawing that line in the sand was something other than what I stated it was?

No I’m not playing your game.

I’m ignoring you from now on. I’ll argue with people I have respect for.

No I’m not playing your game.
I'm not playing a game. I'm asking you to substantiate and clarify your remarks. If anything you're playing a game with your cryptic, unexplained remarks towards me.

I’m ignoring you from now on.
You're running away from having to explain your remarks, pure and simple.

I’ll argue with people I have respect for.
You earn no respect by not standing up for what you say. I've candidly spoken my mind and you're refusing to speak yours. That says more about you than it does about me.

I did a LexisNexis search and found this:

"Would you kill someone for that?...I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore...I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it,...No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out. Is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus -- band -- Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, 'Yeah, I'd kill Michael Moore,' and then I'd see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I'd realize, 'Oh, you wouldn't kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death." -The Glenn Beck Program, May 17, 2005

About.com has a slightly different version:

"I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. ... No, I think I could. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death.' And you know, well, I'm not sure." –responding to the question "What would people do for $50 million?", "The Glenn Beck Program," May 17, 2005

There is a bit more context here. It looks like he is making a statement about the WWJD bracelets.

What I was saying is that he condemns violence against U.S. officials/persons like Moore. He doesn’t support, for example, not wanting socialized health care and burning down D.C. If China comes into the U.S., I am sure he would be the first one to tell people to protect their country. However, if China did invade, I predict it would be the U.S. government waving white flags first. IMHO

That's fine. He can condemn violence all he wants. However, if he wants freedom somebody is eventually going to have to fight and die for it. As uncomfortable as it may be to speak such truths it simply is the way the world is and has been for thousands of years.
