CLINTON AND OBAMA SAY GADHAFI MUST GO; MULLEN REVERSES COURSE -
So which is it? On the Sunday talk shows, the Obama administration signaled that Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi could remain in power — despite earlier statements from Secretary of State Clinton and Barrack Obama that the dictator must go.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen said on Fox News Sunday: “We’re in a situation now that what we do will depend to some degree on what he does. The focus of the United Nations Security Council was really Benghazi specifically and to protect the civilians.”
On Meet the Press, Mullen described the campaign’s aims as “limited,“ saying it ”isn’t about seeing him (Gadhafi) go.” Mullen was asked whether it was possible that the mission’s goals could be achieved while leaving Gadhafi in power. “That’s certainly potentially one outcome,”he replied.
Obama last week: “When a leader’s only means of staying in power is to use mass violence against his own people, he has lost the legitimacy to rule and needs to do what is right for his country by leaving now.”
Clinton echoed Obama’s demand in a statement saying that Gadhafi’s government would he held “accountable for its violation of human rights.” She added: “Moammar Gadhafi has lost the confidence of his people and he should go without further bloodshed and violence.”
It appears that the letter Gadhafi sent to “his son” is causing Commander Awesome to have second thoughts: “Our son, the honorable Barack Hussein Obama: As I have said before, even if, God forbid, there were a war between Libya and America, you would remain my son and I would still love you. I do not want to change the image I have of you.” ff
So much easier to run your mouth while campaigning than it is to govern, huh?
Or it it the other way around?

During the War on Terror, Bush stated that we would be using misinformation as a tactic to keep our enemy off guard. Bush did not do a good job of this — Obama, on the other hand, is a natural.
So what? We had nothing against KDaffy, just his defense infrastructure?

This is so weak. What is the point to any of this if we are going to leave this murderer alive. At least kill the Lockerbie bomber for crying out loud.
