Flash Mob Watchdog
me | 6/29/11 | struggle

Posted on 06/29/2011 8:40:07 AM PDT by struggle

There have been a lot of flashmobs that have resulted in social disorder. I have three questions:

1. What sites, media are begin used to generate them?

2. Are there any watchdog sites and if not, how should these mobs be countered?

3. Is there any way that signs/etc. could be placed ahead of time to warn people from info posted on the net?

Anyone know...I think it would be a good service for someone to make money and protect people.

Just a theory, but "flash mobs" could be the "seed" obama is planting for "civil unrest" in order to declare "martial law" and "cancel the elections".

He hasn't been bashful about making it up as he goes along, so far.

Maybe that's why he doesn't look all that worried about the 2012 election...

I'd like to see a flash mob countered with a pair of AA12 automatic assault shotguns with 20 round magazines.

Do that twice and you won't ever see another flash mob.

Most of these mobs are not from social networks, but from text msgs, so I think only the NSA has the technology needed to do what you are asking.I doubt they’d use that tech for this problem, and even if they did a real 4th amendment question would arise..I think the best course is back to basic beat cop techniques.Observation, CIs,citizen tips.Your suggestion about an alert system, akin to Amber Alerts is one that could be done once the info is verified.

Facebook and Twitter would probably be the two biggest sites for these activities.

I don’t know how fast flashmobs can organize themselves, but probably pretty quick since Facebook and twitter send updates to your phone.

I don’t think anybody can stop them, except at the door.

I do think these are seeds. I suspect that ACORN is playing a role here, and I think that the Left is pre-positioning for something close to a guerrilla war. On our side, we’re wondering if Sarah Palin will get into the race, or whether that piece of legislation in California is going to pass. Meanwhile, the Left is actively practicing how to take over our cities. Right in front of our nose. But we don’t see it. Once again, we are behind the curve.

Well, I’ve taught at an all-black school for 3 years and I have never seen any behavior like this. If there was a certain word that they use for this (mobbin, etc.) it would be easy to isolate a site and mole in and watch the alerts.

Just like worldstarhiphop.com gets all the uploaded fight videos, etc., there has to be a key site/facebook group/twitter address/etc.

That kind of assembly is not just an update; there has to be a key site that is bringing this - just like 4chan and anonymous/lulzsec etc.

Why do they keep calling them flash mobs? Flash mobs are the nice little groups that surprise everyone at malls and other public venues with cheerful songs and dances. Another good thing bastardized by the left.

Because they can't call them black mobs.

"Once again, we are behind the curve."

The trick will be waiting just around that curve, ready, and well armed. Surprise is a formidable advantage.

Ah, I think they've owned them for some time now.
If anything, they're practicing to get out into the 'burbs.

Because they can't call them black mobs.

They could be called "blobs."

The context of the usage would indicate the nature of the reference.

In answer to question #3: “Is there any way that signs/etc. could be placed ahead of time to warn people from info posted on the net?”, may I suggest that the Founders already provided an answer.

It may be found in the Second Amendment.

Victims are unarmed sheep vulnerable to tyranny.

Armed citizens are not mere ‘sheeple’.

“Meanwhile, the Left is actively practicing how to take over our cities.”

Firstly, as some gangs discovered out West, taking over a town is not simple when the inhabitants are armed.

Secondly, if the Big Sh*tty takeovers occur, after they are retaken, the population of Democraps (the major population of the Big Sh*tty is Democrapic in most cases) will be very much reduced.

We surround them.

Easy. You get the Federal Govenment to monitor (i.e. read) every single email, tweet, and facebook posting that travels on the internet, as well as every cell phone conversation and text message that travels the airwaves.

Short of that, no there is no way to 'monitor' flash mobs. A flash mob is simply a group of people that know each other ahead of time, and can contact each other through email, twitter, facebook, or some other means common to the group.

For example, I could post here on F.R. that all FReepers in the D.C. area should meet under the Washington Monument at noon tomorrow, and unless your 'service' actively monitored Free Republic, they'd never catch it.

Some of the hoodlum flash mobs are probably arranged through cell phone text messages, so no private company could possibly monitor that activity.

The origin was a story by SF author Larry Niven, about a world with cheap teleportation: something interesting would happen somewhere, the news would get out, and people would teleport in to see themselves. . .

it would be better to use powerful tear gas...make the animals double over in pain until the cops come....then they can be arrested and tried...
