For those of you who would want an idea of what an economic collapse looks like I suggest you watch an excellent documentary available on YouTube Part One is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH6_i8zuffs

As a armed society with a very large entitlement minded population I expect that our collapse will be much more violent and I see many many a small business wiped out by looting, think Katrina/L.A. all rolled into one.

I also see what I call ‘Pocket Pogroms’ taking place in many big ‘Blue’ cities and if you aren’t a ‘0bamamite yute’ or one of ‘Holder’s People’ it’s going to get Reginald Denny bad for you very quickly.

I hate to add this, but I don’t like what I am seeing trending with LEO’s lately in the news. I am not sure if it’s stress or what, but there seems to be a growing disfuction in the area of ‘To protect and Serve’ among LEO’s. In a SHFT situation calling on LEO’s for help I think will end in not only not getting help you need, but actually end up with you very sorry you called.

For those who are just starting or are old hands at prepping you may find my Preparedness Manual helpfull. You can download it at:

http://www.tomeaker.com/kart/preparedness1i.pdf

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

Or as the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
NIV Proverbs 22:3

“There is no greater disaster than to underestimate danger.
Underestimation can be fatal.”

Hubby is ex-LE and I used to work in conjunction with them but agree they're the last ones you want to call. The ones here can't so much as do a check on noise in the neighborhood much less anything worse. They screw up cases and destroy innocent people's lives to the point of suicide. No, the further away LE stays, the better even in the best of times. I'd manage without but would be a happy camper for a 15 minute warning before the electricity shuts down. Just enough time to top off the water supply the easy way. The moochers, have been making their way through my bottled water all summer ($%%#@!) so that's first on the list when they're outta here in a couple weeks. Just hold this crisis off a few more days and I'm good.

No kidding.

Is this what normally happens?
