At that point read Michelle’s big lips as she leans over to Obama and says “ALL THIS FOR A FLAG” and then shakes her head side to side in disapproval while Obama nods his approval of her statement.

I agree she is clearly says the word flag and her face clearly shows her disdain. The wording may or may not be exact, but her meaning is right on the money!

Without audio, I don’t know. Some people claim they can read lips... but I don’t buy it. We are not HAL9000’s, reading Dave’s lips about terminating our existence...
I think this is one of those kinds of situations you have to give the benefit of the doubt. Seems like jumping to conclusions otherwise...
I think these kinds of posts are just trying to stir people up to no end. If she said it and a mic recorded it, that would be entirely different. But now we are just going on abstract interpretation of moving lips and rolling eyes. For all we know she was talking about something else entirely.
Also, even if the lip readers are correct, from her facial expression, if she was saying what people here are saying that she said (which I am not in accord with), that could have been a “wowee” moment. We all know she is not exactly groomed for politics, that was her husband that had that training.

I really really want to believe that she was so taken aback by the display of patriotism and was like...OMG all this for a flag...how incredible.....unfortunately, I don’t think that was what she meant... *sad face*
Lip reading is very real. Clearly you haven’t been around a deaf people or you would know. But she defiantly said the word ‘flag’ and her facial expression and eye roll shows that it wasn’t something positive.
I can’t tell what she said, since I’m no lip reader.
I can read expressions and body language though, and if I caught one of my kids making that kind of disrespectful eye-roll following a sour-faced whispered comment to one of his pals at a serious ceremony, if he didn’t get some instant discipline on the spot he’d sure as shooting get some the second it was appropriate.
No doubt at all, this is what she said, that he nodded in disgusted agreement with.
These two venal, disrespectful, anti-American filth should be publicly flogged and then kicked out of the country.

Let's be careful before we bite on this. An experienced lip reader would help tremendously.
I don’t care what she said, it was disrespectful for her to be chit-chatting at that moment.
I put it on my Facebook page.
What she said was a short sentence and I would assume it was one that made sense. I can think of sentence using that would be short enough nor make sense that would contain the words “fold that flag” and especially one that would go with her facial expression and eye roll.
