This absolutely sickens me. It is the lowest of the low. Liberal Alan Colmes mocks Rick Santorum for treating his dead son with dignity.
Colmes was suggesting that voters would shun Santorum once they “get a load of some of the crazy things he’s said and done, like taking his two-hour-old baby when it died right after child birth home and played with it so that his other children would know that the child was real."
Notice the word "it." Colmes said the Santorum's took "it" home. My goodness, even a child that is born is still an "it" to these lunatics.
National Review's Rick Lowry responded to Colmes by saying, “To take something that is that personal and that hurtful as losing a child and mocking it like that … that is beneath you, Alan,” said Lowry. “What you’re saying is contemptible.”
In one of the great heartbreaks of Rick Santorum's life, his wife Karen gave birth to a baby who lived for only a short while. Not allowing the medical staff to take the baby from them, they held the baby and brought the baby home so their other children could say goodbye.
To Rick Santorum, every child should be treated with dignity. For Alan Colmes, a dead child is a punchline to be used for political gain.

I am glad that Colmes apologized but for me it speaks more of the Santorum's that they didn't make political hay of this and just accepted his apology.

It was vulger, but the Santorum’s are so incredible that they have forgiven him after he apologized. Future President Santorum and the First Family are beautiful!!!

Unfortunately, there’s not enough of what you describe anymore.
I would imagine that the threat of earned violence against a jerk such as Colmes would suppress much of the jerk-like behavior that has become the norm these days.
Holmes is a POS but, what the Santorums did was pretty friggin weird by any standard.

Colmes has been a bottom feeder ever since leaving Hannity’s coat tails.
Years ago, back when I was young and stupid, I thought liberals merely had a different and wrong opinion, to which they were entitled. Now that I’m much older and much wiser, I now realize liberals are mentally defective and have putrid, rotten, rancid, souls and are the foot soldiers of Satan. Trying to coexist with liberals is like trying to live with just a little cancer. What worthless, Godless, soulless, bitter husks of people liberals are. I despise them.

I am not sure I agree with that. When my Dad passed away, there was a private viewing. I elected not to view because I didn’t want to remember him that way. But I understood the people that did view him.
Why Colmes should want to make the situation sound bizarre is the real question. What drives that man? Is he mentally ill or is he a pervert? Or, is he both!
Colmes is one of those guys that could’ve benefited from a good old fashion ass whuppin’ when he was a kid. I hope it’s not too late, in case I ever meet the SOB.
To be clear, the Santorum’s didn’t take their baby home to “play with it”. They took him home so that his brothers and sisters could see him and hold him, and know that they had a brother, even if it was for a short time.
They wanted complete the act of bringing their baby home. It was for one night.
I think this is an area where we should all mind our business.
IMO, children (especially) shouldn't be exposed to such.
I rarely make personal comments about people, but Alan Colmes crossed the line with his. Colmes is a despicable low life brainwashed leftist moron.
