U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following remarks on the Senate floor Monday regarding the need for the President in his State of the Union address to address the real consequences of Obamacare and offer solutions to avoid the sequester.

This from the same man who came up with the automatic debt-limit increase/Super Committee/Sequester plan that undermined the conservative momentum in the House on Cut, Cap and Balance.

But now old Mitch is up for re-election in 2014 so he's pretending to be against Obama, the democrats and their spending policies while two years ago, he was with Obama and the democrats against the conservatives.

Let's remove this worthless leader from power next year. He's play-acting and needs to be primaried out of office.

Why wait?

Any Senator who does not move, and vote, for Impeachment
should be recalled and/or replaced by an American.

Senators can’t vote to impeach. Only the House.

Of course you need at least 2/3 of the Senate to vote for removal of the President... All this talk of impeachment is a waste of time and energy..

You nailed it. These phonies are so predictable. They occupy the position of Dim enablers for about 4.5 years, and then about a year and a half before reelection posture as though they are hard right.

We’re seeing that from Lindsey Grahamnesty, too (except for his amnesty push; he doesn’t seem to be able to restrain himself on that). I will be very surprised if Lamar Alexander doesn’t adopt a tough, conservative line in the next few months since he will be up for reelection in the Fall of 2014 also.

I will withhold judgment for now.

If we get 1/2 T in cuts at the end of this month it will be the first significant cut in ages which the Dems were not able to spin their way out of. I for one will thank Mitch.

Well I hope you don’t live in Kentucky!

I have to admit I would do anything to keep Judd out of office...and unless there is an EXCELLENT alternative the Tea Party puts up (not an Aiken) that includes supporting Mitch.

Keep in mind that the republicans in the senate will not get any new leadership if McConnell and Cornyn are re-elected, since no republican will challenge them and if any republican did, the rest would rally around the leaders.

McConnell does not deserve to be re-elected, no matter who his potential challenger may be.

What I'm keeping in mind is that Ashley Judd might be elected to the Senate.

To me that's a much worse nightmare scenario than yours...especially if Mitch's idea of sequester DOES happen and 1.2 T is cut from the budget which to me is a GOOD thing...I for one will not be hating him for it.
