Marco Rubio...Hey, We Should Throw Obama A Lifeline On ObamaCare

As I said on a recent podcast, the GOP message is going to become "fix" ObamaCare. Here's Marco "Amnesty" Rubio.

"The widespread problems with the ObamaCare website are generating a new backlash in Congress, with Sen. Marco Rubio planning to introduce legislation that would delay the health law's individual mandate until the technical failures are addressed.

The Florida senator discussed the plan Tuesday morning in an interview with Fox News. He said it would be "prudent" to delay the requirement on individuals to buy health insurance -- set to kick in early next year -- until users can consistently access the main website.

"How are you going to go after people next year ... if the thing you're forcing them to buy isn't available to buy?" he asked, saying the site is "not working." "

This was always the problem with the "delay" strategy. Obama needs a delay. Why in the world would you give him what he needs?

Why do this? Let them spin. Stay the hell out of it....Ted Cruz gave our position. Let the system they democrats put together crash and burn.

Absolute idiocy at all levels of gov’t and from both parties.

Well, let me be naive. God rules this universe, and has the devil in chains, letting the devil harass it and claim it as his, but ultimately God gets to call the shots. Wisdom remains wisdom, and any approach towards the right thing is better than no approach at all.

Te best life line, even if it ends up being an occasion on which Barack would brag that he looked good, would be one that would hog tie this Obamacare permanently. I say why not... and keep the Tea Party activity up strong during the interim.

They bash conservatives like Ted Cruz and want to throw lifelines to Democrats.

RINOs are Democrats.

Only “hundreds” have been able to sign up for a health care plan at the Obamacare websites. The Wall Street Journal reported:

Okay now we will try the landline # 1-800-318-2596 listed above or 1-800-318-2596 = 1-800-FAU-CKYO.

I would gladly throw a life line to a Democrat if it meant I could strangle Satan.

No Delay....

I never understood the political advantage in delaying this mess...It gets Obama off the hook and gives him time to revamp.

It might be “good for the country” to delay it....but I think the pain is necessary and will stop this BS for good

If its too expensive ...no one will buy it ....the end

This thing is going to fail, it’s a matter of how and when.

We might be so anxious that a move like Rubio’s would buy time for evil, that we forget it could buy time for good. And if we’re wise, redeeming that time, God (through good) will simply cream Satan (with his evil). That’s ALWAYS the anatomy of how God works. It isn’t a pipe dream. It is biblical promise and it works.

Rubio is from the Romney wing of the party.

He wants to fix the government.

The other wing wants to reduce the size of government to the constitutionally mandated level.

Both wings are better than the Marxists vision of government.

However, with our two wings neutralizing each other, we are letting the Marxists prevail.

The ideas are “stupid” if better is at hand. In which case our proper answer is “take the better option.” But sometimes ultimately victorious battles are fought in unglamorous foxholes.

One of the supposed criticisms of the Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and House conservative wing of the GOP, is they aren’t all that interested in deal making or governing (as the term is understood in DC...increase government). I think it’s a fair point and one that speaks well of them.

The Republican wing of the GOP (Speaker John Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Senator Susan Collins, and Senator Bob Corker, etc) is interested not in “small government” but “smaller government”. “Smaller” than what? The answer to that is the key. Most often it’s not “smaller than we have now” it’s “smaller than the Democrats want it to be in the future but bigger than now”.

The GOP just got the crap kicked out of it by trying to delay it. I say, “No delays, you bastards asked for it.”

Yeah, "Mend it, don't end it!" Obamacare is a goldmine for ALL politicians. Every political fight in the future will be about obamacare and eventually whatever they call the single payer follow on. Every political fight will be about tweaking the system for the benefit of this complaining group and that one, about "streamlining" and "making it more fair" helping in (with lots of publicity) helping out individual constituents who are frustrated with the system.
We have let it go too far to get rid of it. No politician, not even Ted Cruze, will vote to put a million new bureaucrats out of work. The only way we might get shut of obamacare is if we respond well as a population of free people to the Collapse.

They’re going to own it one way or another. It’s a question of when and how... and as I pointed out it isn’t just the devil who can make hay while the sun shines, and if the two have an equal footing, the devil must give way. The delay is that much more bragging time for the Dems to make open fools of themselves, for instance. Anyhow, later....
