Opening the “Gates” of Hell? I thought it was opened on January 21, 2009.

Gates apparently has trouble with Presidents doing what they were elected to do. Useless wars cost too much in blood and treasure and voters turned against them.

Opening the Gates of Hell? I thought it was opened on January 21, 2009. Yeah, but which way is the traffic flowing ?

as Lord Acton wrote of Machiavelli, State power is not bound by moral law.
I'll have to look that up. It sounds as if he said it in order to correct Machiavelli. I wonder if he thought it was a good or bad thing.

Gates book is already #1 best seller at Amazon and, except for Kindle, it has not even been released (rel. on 1/14).

Obama is “feckless”? I don’t think so. He’s been fecking-over everyone in The United States for five years now.

Gotta love the way Ari Fleischer jumped to Obabma’s defense instead of the defense of his country. Maybe W will emerge from his silence and slap Gates down or if Ari was still serving as W’s mouthpiece.

So of course Bridgegate emerges the next day to knock this off the front pages.

Of course Gate's memoir is damning but no one will care.
Its not a scandal until the MSM says its a scandal.
And in Obama's case, no matter how vile & disgusting his behavior, no matter how many lives are lost due to his craven and self serving policies, the MSM will never, ever call him on it.

The gates of Hell are opened so the Christians can go in and release those who are imprisoned inside. Setting them free.
That is why the gates of hell cannot prevail against the Church.
Likewise those who are behind the gates cannot get out unless they are transformed.

Gates never doubted THE FOREIGNERS support for the troops. I sure do. Every action THE FOREIGNER undertakes shows his contempt for the military, our troops, this country and our people

If I were on the stand as defendant, you as prosecutor asking that question, I'd immediately be looking straight at my attorney, Ben Matlock, who in most every other case would have been smiling by now, another case on the win side for him. But this time he's got a really worried look on his face like I've never seen and know I'm in big, very big trouble.
I can't remember the last time I was in a position like this where I was muted into silence, otherwise always there with the quick, witty response. Your question is damm good, legitimate and frankly being at a total loss for words, must say, You Got Me!!

On second thought, if the gate is open, maybe traffic is going both ways.

Gates proposed a 60,000 US troops surge package. Obama halved it with support 5000 or so from allies.
Destined to fail from the start. That is why the numbers of US casualities spiked.
Active Duty/Retiree ping.

You are correct. The Rules of Engagment (ROE) that Obama ordered for Afghanistan were also a disaster to our fighting men and women. A
disaster. From barring air support, to the inability of our troops to even return fire, the military was forced to become sitting ducks.
It eclipses Vietnam as the worst example of how American political cowards betrayed our military.
