I was a gate guard at a large Gulf Coast beach resort from 2005-2112. Each year’s spring crop of 20-30 Y.O. vsitors was shorter sighted and just plain stupider than the previous years in a fairly even decline. 2012’s crop was a step below the curve established in the previous 7 years’ slope. These are our future “leaders” and “captains of industry.” America is not coming back. From this point there is no upslope.
My wife - username Mulan - is currently back in Xiamen visiting her family. If she weren’t, I would forward the link to this post to her so she could write a long volume to you as to why this idea is total BS.
I know from my visit there that China barely has a handle on its own nation, much less dominate the world.

I have no idea how many young adults partake in Spring Break in Miami, but vast numbers of American college students don’t go there. They are working or studying or catching up with sleep and family time. They probably party also, but not a whole week paid for by Mom and Dad. After all, in this economy, one parent or the other is probably out of work or on part-time.
