There are many good people in the state dept but it’s been well- known for years ( even before O) to harbor a number of Nazi types - the worst possible scum. There were attempts in past to explain this by claiming such riff raff is needed to get along with Islamic regimes. But, that never excused more than a very small portion, if any, of the problem at state. And, there’s no really good reason why all American ambassadors can’t stand up for basic American principles — even those sent to islamoNazi dictatorships. They can be tactful about it of course. But. The real fundamental problem is loyalty. The enemy regimes either directly or Indirectly can enrichen our representatives. This is why these assignments are seen by some as “ plums” to be bid for, they simply pose tremendous profit opportunities for anybody willing to sell out America and advocate anti-American, pro- islamoNazi policies then and later - after their tours of duty are completed ( especially). If you want to see a strikingly clear example of this phenom in action, just look at Jimmy carter today.
I will forward the possibly insane notion notion that ‘good people’, by very definition, could or would not work in a department that is long known to be a hive of Nazi/human garbage.
Now If someone can explain how good people can in fact remain good people while carrying out the corrupt policies of a corrupt regime. I am all ears.
Why bother trying to get along with the undesirables? I don't care if they like us, as long as they FEAR us! Good luck with any fear factor under this regime.
