Gaslighting, the Media and Benghazi ~ Vanity
GraceG

According to wiki, Gaslighting is defined as:

Gaslighting is a form of mental abuse in which false information is presented with the intent of making a victim doubt his or her own memory, perception and sanity. Instances may range simply from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents ever occurred, up to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim.

How does this relate to Benghazi and the Media Coverage of it and what the White house released concerning it?

Well let's break this down a bit shall we:

"false information is presented with the intent of making a victim doubt his or her own memory, perception and sanity. "

Hmm, sounds a LOT like the practical application of the "Offensive YouTube Video" narritive that Suan Rice and the rest of the Administration fed to everyone that the MSM eagerly picked up like mangy dogs begging fro scraps of meat from a butcher shop.

Next One:

"Instances may range simply from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents ever occurred"

Doesn't this specifically sound like the Narritive that the media and White House started after Hillary's "What difference does it make" screeching on capital hill? The media went into full crazy mode by saying that any one who still belived in Benghazi was kook and/or conspiracy theorist.

And Finally:

"up to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim."

Bizarre events, this reminds me of what happened soon after Benghazi when hillary was telling one of the victim's relatives that they would go after whomever made the YouTube video. That was simply bizarre, not to mention all the weird crap the white house has done since then to seeming distract from the issue.

They did go after the guy that made the youtube video.

Meanwhile, the people that carried out the attack are running around free as a bird. I guess they don’t want them to be captured, cause maybe then the truth will come out?

Anyone who now doubts there is a huge progressive media conspiracy is hopelessly stupid or a bald-faced liar.

No one has doubted it for a decade now.

What do we DO about it?

Dunno. The same way Russians dealt with TASS or the Chinese with Xinhua?

Apparently, diminishing subscriptions and credibility has no effect on them.

Yet somehow they still control the content and context of the news. Its beyond frustrating.

Neat cartoon, although it appears that the Rhodes brothers need to stop shaving with a weed whacker ;-)

Boards of directors control corporations. They set policy guidelines and hire and fire management.

2 + 2 = 4.

We keep thinking that the media support of the Democrat party is like a fan’s support of a sports team. It isn’t. You have to PAY people to get the kind of support the media gives the Democrats. The news people are just paid Democrat liars. It isn’t just misguided adulation.

THE MSM IS A BIGGER PAWN OF OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY THAN PRAVDA WAS IN TIMES OF THE SOVIET UNION.

Retired Military Official: We Knew Benghazi Attacks Attributable to Terrorist Group, Not Video

A retired military officer serving in the U.S.’s Africa Command headquarters in Germany told the House oversight committee Thursday that it was his belief at the time that the September 11, 2012, attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attributable to an Islamic extremist group and not an internet video.

Robert Lovell was an brigadier general with the Air Force, stationed in Germany, when four Americans were killed in Benghazi. In his congressional testimony, Lovell said that his role was to focus on “attribution” of the attack.

“What do you believe they were attributable to?” asked Utah Republican congressman Jason Chaffetz.

“That they were attributable to an Islamist extremist group,” Lovell responded.

“Al Qaeda?” Chaffetz asked.

“We felt it was Ansar al Sharia,” said Lovell.

“Which is affiliated with al Qaeda?” Chaffetz asked.

“Yes,” said Lovell.

Lovell also said that the attack was not attributable to a video or protests arising from such a video.
