We’re all guilty. Those of us who are redeemed should realize that gays are sinners like any others subject to the judgement of God. The issue here is freedom. Freedom of association and commerce. Gays, without repentance, will face a Godless eternity just as much as a baker that rejects the Gospel.

not all sinners parade their sin around as sodom. and force others to accept their sin as good. or try to corrupt young people that such sin is in fact, good, and those opposed to said sin, are evil. this is evil and wicked and not the same as saying we can’t judge it or oppose it because we’re all sinners.

but I should not be made party to "whatever they want"....
would the govt allow a heterosexual parade...with naked people simulating sex acts on Main Street?....don't think so....
being homosexual maybe is not the worse of the worse in sins. Maybe God understands the human frailty..but parading about like its a holy act is EVIL...
actually they do. mardi gras is the great example. spring break topless contests and more, are others.
I excuse no sin. Further, real Christians realize their own sin and tremble for others - not condemn. As far as displays of proud sin, you must have blinders on, friend. Turn on your television and look at it with prayerful consideration.

i don’t live like the homosexuals. i amashamed of my sins. i don’t ask anyone to tell me my sins are god-pleasing. i don’t want special parades for my sins. i don’t go into schools telling kids to experiment with sin and that anyone who says otherwise is a bully and awful.
if we aren’t going to be salt what’s the point. judge righteous judgment, don’t be hypocritical, but judge righteously. call sin, sin. Jesus did. and he said go and sin no more.
the whole reason evil grows bolder is because we don’t expose it and condemn it for what it is. these are the people that need to be embarrassed, not us who are sickened by it. they ought to be ashamed but if nobody is there to shame them, warn them, condemn the sin, offer the real truth and that’s it’s there for them, they just grow bolder and outlaw anyone who disagrees.
In addition to all the other comments that point out that private [sinful] actions are different than trying to foist your sin as normative on society, I’ll also address your comment on “Freedom of association and commerce”. A shopkeeper likewise reserves his freedom of association, and is free to refrain from promoting what he sees as sinful behavior through improper association.
The word “commerce” implies a mutual coming together to exchange goods and services for cash or other goods and services. The word commerce by its etymology, implies a mutuality to the transaction. If one party can force another to do something, that has nothing to do with “commerce.”
I suggest that you go after the low fruit (no pun intended). Perhaps you might start with your own sins. Repentance precedes renewal. The church (lower case organizations) certainly should repent. The culture, itself, is rife with Godless corruption and 50+ million slaughtered young eclipse sodomites on any scale. Finally, yes, sodomy is a sin; a grievous sin. Also yes, we ought to judge sin - it is wrong and no revisionism can make it different. Sodomy is un-natural and an abomination to God.The point is, condemnation is not ours and it is a disservice to the Word and God Himself that we take liberty to jump from judging sin rightly directly to critical condemnation and, too often, hatred and derision. Let’s first address the beams in our eyes as Christians and we will know how to deal rightly with this issue.
I would remind you that this thread is about frying gays in hell (by graphic depiction) and the case before the SCOTUS. Two separate issues. That is my original point and in agreement with your comments. Case closed.
In all honesty, I don’t think this sort of criticism is necessary. We live in a society that condones and promotes this behavior. We pray to the Lord to not lead us into temptation. Have we done enough to protect our fellows from temptation, or did we stay aside, silent while our fellows were led astray? Is there really no way to honor the Bible and revere the Lord without judging his children? When I see this type of ill-will, I see another temptation winning over another heart. . . with great sorrow.
With all due respect, you obviously haven’t been around this type of people. Good luck trying to preach to them.
