Bernie Sanders: Open Borders is a ‘Right-Wing Proposal’
MRC TV ^ | July 28, 2015 | Ashley Rae Goldenberg

In a recent interview, presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) called open borders a “right-wing proposal” and vocalized his opposition to an open borders policy.

On July 16, Sanders sat down with Vox’s Ezra Klein for an interview. During the interview, Klein asked Sanders about his identification as a socialist and its implications for his policy positions. […]

At one point during the conversation, Klein began to ask Sanders, “You said being a democratic socialist means a more international view. I think if you take global poverty that seriously, it leads you to conclusions that in the US are considered out of political bounds. Things like sharply raising the level of immigration we permit, even up to a level of open borders. About sharply increasing…”

Sanders interjected, “Open borders? No, that's a Koch brothers proposal.”

“Really?” Klein asked.

Sanders continued, “Of course. That's a right-wing proposal, which says essentially there is no United States…” …

Uh . . .
The Communists are further reproached with desiring to abolish countries and nationality. …

Communist Manifesto, Chapter 2
Try again, Bernie. Too early to utter stupid lies. (And that’s aside from the Koch Brothers being self-identified libertarians and backing a lot of left-wing positions.)

Actually, if you replace “Right-Wing” with “Republican” Sanders is DEAD-ON.

He’s stating a policy position of his under the thin guise of opposing it.

President Fox’s vision for an open border is a vision I embrace, as long as we demonstrate the will to address the obstacles to it.

I honestly believe he is against open borders. His conclusion that it is a right wing thing is kind of stupid.

Sanders continued, “Of course. That's a right-wing proposal, which says essentially there is no United States…

Provided he means it I'd vote for this commie before I'd vote for Jeb Bush.

We'd be destitute but I'd know at the end of a Sanders administration there'd still be a United States.

Lots of libertarians are for open borders. If you call them part of the right wing, then Sanders is right. As for the Koch brothers specifically, who knows.

“I think if you take global poverty that seriously, it leads you to conclusions that in the US are considered out of political bounds. Things like sharply raising the level of immigration we permit, even up to a level of open borders.”

Do I understand this to mean that open borders is a way to ensure global poverty. If so, I agree. Open US borders will reduce the standard of living in the US to that of the poor parts of Calcutta. Open borders is a method for wage reduction and wage reduction is the policy of the Fed govt.

If Chamber of Commerce conservatives are right wing, then he’s right. I am NOT a Bernie Sanders fan, but he has been right on this one issue for a long time. He was one of the guys who voted against the Bush Amnesty bill.

Well, he’s right.

Open Borders IS an anarcho-libertarian idea, specifically intended to drive wages down.

The “race to the bottom”, as it is known.

Everyone needs to recall that the Unions under Gompers wrote the 1924 Immigration Act which basically ended the so-called “Great Wave” of immigration.

They did that because it meant they could improve wages.

Sanders may be the only honest Leftist out there. The rest of the Democrats - who used to be utterly opposed to mass immigration - have all drunk the Kool Aid and babble about letting the flood in.

In other words, they have abandoned the American working class.

Bernie is just sticking to the traditional line.

The reason the rest of the Rats have gone over is simple: the immigrants now are non-whites. And if there’s one thing the Rat party is desperate to do, it’s add as many non-whites to the population of the U.S. that it can. They live to replace the hated Evil White People with Saintly Minorities...who won’t be minorities much longer.

But until that happens, the gig will be this: the rich get REALLY rich, and the rest....fall further behind as more and more of the desperate show up.
