what am i missing here....I vthought the republicans had control of the senate and congress....so how did it pass

They voted 99-1 to pass the Corker bill which essentially gave away their power. Yes, all but ONE sold us out.

BO has unilaterally changed the rules and the GOP is too gutless to push back. Normally, this would be considered a treaty requiring two-thirds approval of the U.S. Senate.

At the very least, it would be considered legislation requiring a majority vote of both houses. However, it is now deemed to be valid and all congress can do is vote to disapprove, requiring a two-thirds vote to override the emperor's veto.

Pretty neat how that works, huh?
