Seven out of Ten divorces are requested by the wife. Men are simple creatures. We are easy. Women are a bit more difficult to please.
Divorce has a terrible impact on the kids and economic impact on women as well.
American women are more miserable now than they were before feminism took root in our country.
Is why, among other reasons, I like being single.
Society was convinced marriages are created and ended at the whim of the state’s civil law. Civil law changes, civil law will never stop changing. It is based on whatever judges, politicians or the voting public happen to think about it at any one time.

Why?
Every guy who has been through “divorce” (actually “dissolution of marriage — divorce is probably only in a few states) knows the deck is stacked against him.
A woman can have an affair in front of her husbands eyes, kick the husband out of the house, get a restraining order to keep husband from coming home, sell everything he owns, including his clothes, give his booze to her BF, snd he has NO recourse.
When they get to court, HE invariable pays spousal support, no matter her financial situation. After many years, even with no kids, he MIGHT get a sliver of what is left of what he once owned, less her huge take of his retirement.
Kids? HAHAHAHAHAHA — she gets them, gets child support which she uses for herself and not the kids with no recourse. Ex-hubbie pays for her and new BF to live in the style they want with no work and him as an ATM.
If he kicks, she hauls him into court every other week with HER lawyer billing HIM for the privilege.
Family Law favors women: YA THINK????
So more women not working (presumably by staying home to care for children), higher savings rates, and closer to equal division of assets in the event of divorce are bad outcomes?
