This might be an idea whose time has come: Nearly two-thirds of Americans are in favor of free college for everyone, and about three-quarters think at least some people should be eligible for free college, a new survey shows.
As the labor market increasingly benefits the better educated, and as college education and earnings potential become more tightly linked, people are coming around to an idea that seemed radical until very recently.
Vermont senator Bernie Sanders touted the idea as a central plank of his primary platform, and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton recently announced her own version, which includes a household income cap of $85,000 that rises to $125,000 in the future, while Republican nominee Donald Trump has not released a detailed plan to address tuition costs....

High school is free and yet few take advantage of that. College needs to get back to being about education and not a participation trophy that it is. Colleges are nothing but money mills anymore.

Are all the college perfessers and other employees going to be working for free?
Why not free beer, free cars etc. obviously none of those surveyed had a clue about who would pay for this free tuition.
Want free tuition? Get rid of womyns and black studies programs and you are halfway there. If tuition is going to be free, you also do not need professors who only teach one class, nor do you need to pay them that much to start with. Good teachers will come from getting rid of tenure.
I want free beer, guns and ammo.
America has had several generations now living off the global primacy of the fiat, completely unbacked US dollar and a Federal Reserve that can create unlimited debt. We’ve gotten used to the idea of free stuff, paid for by others, or by debt.
Its a truly historical sweet spot for for our own empire’s version of “bread and circuses” which won’t last much longer, and won’t ever come again.

There is no such thing as tuition-free college. The issue is, who gets stuck paying the bill.
Do us folks who went to college prior to it becoming free get any reparations and what about the parents who sacrificed and put their kids through school?

The perfect racket. Take over college debt, make yutes pay out the nose and be in debt to gov whole life all the while indoctrinating them to hate America, love socialism, gov and be lifelong democrats.
