A child psychiatrist is shedding light on the issue of transgenderism after a Texas mother asked a school to adopt a transgender bathroom policy to accommodate her kindergartener.
EAGNews reports the Pearland Independent School District is refusing to comply with a mother's request this month to change its policy even though she says her transgender child is so distraught he prays to be taken to heaven. Psychiatrist Dr. Allan Josephson of the University of Louisville's Bingham Clinic says a child that age cannot grasp the concept of transgenderism.
"To be this troubled to ask to be taken away or go to heaven or something to that effect, this is coming from the mind of an adult [that is] being projected onto the child," he tells OneNewsNow. "And it suggests a serious, serious problem in the parent-child relationship."

Josephson says up until just a few years ago, gender dysphoria was considered to be a very rare and unusual condition, but now it's becoming "trendy."
Trendy indeed.
What will be the next "trendy" sexual "fad"?

It’s sad, because as a teacher I have to put up with this crap. The administration doesn’t want us to disagree with it, because these kids have parents pushing this and will lawyer up.
I simply call them by their last name, only. Then they can’t complain.
Scattered, discreet tattoos also used to be “trendy,” and now we have obnoxious, obscene, full-body monstrosities and alarming piercings and body modifications - for the mere purpose of shocking others.
No different than ‘gender dysphoria.’ It is the ultimate in rebellion against norms and a nose-thumb toward the Creator.
To know that, just keep up with whatever is selling the most in hardware stores...

It is hard to tell how much is the trendy and how much is sexual confusion caused by hormone mimicking compounds that are in the environment and other chemicals and drugs children are put on. I wonder if some of the ADHD medication can have an effect on the sexuality part of the developing brain...
