"But when the thing or person questioned, has power and the ability to send men and women, who have selflessly granted those certain powers unfettered access unto death, those things and people thought to be untouchable, must be questioned. When President Elect Trump announced, he was selecting General Mattis as his Secretary of Defense I was simultaneously elated and troubled."

Whoa, this dude has a major comma fetish.

The rules should be kill as many enemy soldiers (or civilians) as it takes to make them terrified of us and sue for peace.
We should not be in any conflict that doesn’t end in unconditional surrender by the enemy.

Same thing that Tommy Franks said in his book about the rules in Vietnam. Same thing I’ve always said - if you are going to war, go to war - don’t have ridiculous rules.

I’d love to see the UN disbanded. Ike warned about the Military Industrial Complex. I’m thinking that is exactly what these conflicts are-an excuse to make profits off of war by the puppet masters of the NWO.

The war on terror gives them an excuse to go on fighting forever if they want to. Turn them loose or bring them home.

Words matter! In 1947 the Department of War was renamed the Department of Defense and we’ve lost every war since.

He doesn’t really make the connection between the H&K/COIN and Mattis.

Very good point. During my time in the Army I heard more than one senior officer gripe that “we haven’t won a war since WWII.”

The only good substitute for Unconditional Surrender is “everybody’s dead and there’s no one left to surrender.”

We need to withdraw from NATO and the UN. We are big enough to take care of ourselves and our genuine friends (Canada, UK, Australia). Every other nation is just a drain on our resources that we can ill afford to continue.
Why do we give money to people who hate us. Cut the cash donations to foreign powers and use it for our military (higher salaries and more weapons systems).
Make our nation so strong and powerful that everyone outside of our borders fears us.

100% Correct.
Change the sissy named Defense Department back to the War Department.

Terrorize the Terrorists

Islam is “religion” based on cruelty to the unbeliever. Unbelievers can be other Muslims from other sects of Islam or non-Muslims. Muhammad was a child rapist, slave trader, slave master, sex slave trafficker, kidnapper, genocidal mass murderer, blissful torturer, thief and liar. This and more is well documented in the Koran and Hadith.

The Muslims joining ISIS are just Muslims wanting to be “Good Muslims.” They want to follow the ways of their prophet. In the exact way Muhammad lived and ruled. No amount of sugar coating or mumbling about “moderate” Muslims or “Religion of Peace” will change that. “Radicalized” Muslims are simply Muslims who want to be “Good Muslims” in their host country according to the very same Koran and Hadith.

In Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam and the country of the two “holy” cities of Islam - Bibles and Churches are banned and illegal. It also has an apartheid system for non-Muslims which includes the death penalty for any non-Muslims entering Mecca or Medina.

Let’s look at reality if the US Military had the mission that was truly to “Defeat and Destroy ISIS in Syria.”

1. Stop arming and training the “moderate” Syrian rebels. They are just barely one degree removed from ISIS and have/will install a brutal apartheid ISIS type of Islamic Governmental System just as bad as ISIS if they were ever to achieve victory.

2. Ally, support, train and share intel with those who are bringing the fight to ISIS. This includes the Assad Regime, the Russians, the Kurds, the Christians, the Yazidis and certain Sunni Tribes. This does not include Turkey (a NATO member) or Saudi Arabia.

3. Bomb and mine all border crossings. Nothing gets in or out of the “Caliphate.” Destroy all power facilities and any covered truck in the highway that the cargo cannot be verified. All refineries. All factories or production sites that are paying a tax to ISIS. Anyone posting ISIS propaganda online. Any communication site. Anything or anyone that gives any kind of support to the ISIS Regime. Without warning. Without regard to civilian causalities. After the first few days, the civilians will get the message and get away from ISIS targets as ISIS now uses our own ROE and bombing approval process against us.

4. The Geneva and Hague Conventions are suspended in Syria. America does not need to be abide to these Conventions when our enemy does not. ROE is to be “close with the enemy by fire and maneuver and destroy them and their will to fight.” Summary executions for any ISIS terrorist caught without a uniform (this was the norm in all America’s Wars pre-1946). The use of Napalm, Cluster Munitions, anti-personnel mines and flamethrowers are now authorized. If they use chemical weapons, we will use chemical weapons.

In short – Terrorize the Terrorists. Total war for anyone or anything that supports them. Ally with anyone fighting them.

Total War is not pretty. It is not PC. It is brutal and barbarous. But is will accomplish the mission in the shortest time period with least amount of American casualties. And it will result in Victory.

Or we can spend another 15 years and another $2 Trillion from our Treasury in the Middle East to get nothing accomplished except writing more Army “white papers” on how to win.

Exactly. One rule in war. Kill the enemy. If, at some point, survivors wish to sue for peace, accept their Unconditional Surrender. Until then kill as many as quickly as possible. As Sherman said, “Get it over as fast as possible lest we begin to like it too much.”

I am amazed that permission must be granted to return fire while on patrol and under fire. I am amazed that the wounded aren’t retrieved until after the shooting has stopped when our military aren’t permitted to shoot back. What? Waiting for the enemy to run out of ammo? Arm the helos.

We also need to scale the JAG back to bare minimum.
No fighting man should ever be more afraid of the JAG lawyers than he is of the enemy.

I know Mattis assisted Petraeus in writing COIN. I can also understand them not wanting to kill them all.

“Petraeus was one of the two generals behind Field Manual 3-24, Counterinsurgency, that outlined the doctrine. Mattis was the other. “The two generals established an impressive rapport based on their shared understanding of the conduct of counterinsurgency and of the urgent need to reform their services to make them more capable of conducting this most difficult kind of war,” wrote John Nagl, a member of the manual’s writing team and author of Learning To Eat Soup With a Knife, a key text in the counterinsurgency canon.”

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2010/07/the_new_commander.html

Biblically, if you do not protest verbally or fight the corruption of your own ideals (be willing to die for what is right), you are complicit. I want a war journal based on the view of the creator of all men. Any suggestions?

I do agree with his view of Iran and while not knowing his exact feelings about Beirut I think I share those, too.

We should not be in any globalist organization. The UN should be booted off our land. It is a cancerous boil full of maggots.

Let’s hope Mattis sees the error of the ways. COIN was likely at some highup’s direction. Let’s go back to H&C and win wars again.

“Kill them all” or H&C is the time honored way wars have been won since recorded history began. COIN seems to have become the time honored way wars are either lost or stalemated with high body counts among our troops.
