OBAMA’S MIDNIGHT REGULATION EXPRESS
The Coach's Team ^ | 12/28/16 | Kimberly A. Strassel

God knows the extent of the damage Barack Hussein intends to inflict upon the United States and the American people during his final weeks in office. But the hyper-arrogant left will undoubtedly take delight in his every abomination.

The goal is to issue more rules than the new administration could ever repeal.

By Kimberly A. Strassel

Perhaps nothing has more underlined the Obama arrogance than his final flurry of midnight regulations. With each new proposed rule or executive order, Mr. Obama is spitefully mocking the nation that just told him “enough.”

The technical definition of a midnight regulation is one issued between Election Day and the inauguration of a new president. The practice is bipartisan. George W. Bush, despite having promised not to do so, pushed through a fair number of rules in his final months. But Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were more aggressive, and Mr. Obama is making them look like pikers.

Mr. Obama has devoted his last year to ramming through controversial and far-reaching rules. Whether it was born of a desire to lay groundwork for a Clinton presidency, or as a guard against a Trump White House, the motive makes no difference. According to a Politico story of nearly a year ago, the administration had some 4,000 regulations in the works for Mr. Obama’s last year. They included smaller rules on workplace hazards, gun sellers, nutrition labels and energy efficiency, as well as giant regulations (costing billions) on retirement advice and overtime pay.

Since the election Mr. Obama has broken with all precedent by issuing rules that would be astonishing at any moment and are downright obnoxious at this point. This past week we learned of several sweeping new rules from the Interior Department and the Environmental Protection Agency, including regs on methane on public lands (cost: $2.4 billion); a new anti-coal rule related to streams ($1.2 billion) and renewable fuel standards ($1.5 billion).

The fundamental transformation will continue until January 20.

O has roughly 4 weeks to pile on as much as he can. Trump has at least 4 years to undo them. Who’s better at what he does? I think I’ll go with Trump on this one.

DJT only has to issue ONE Executive Order....All Executive Orders and Regulations signed by the prior President are repealed null and void. The Period of “Since the Election MAY (not obligatory) have to be added until all previous items are reviewed. BHO may have made an error and done something right for us. His error of course. No one is perfect LOL

It’s very simple. Ignore Obama’s actions.

Obama may have his “Midnight Regulations”, but Trump will have a powerful “Midnight Express” that will plow through the Obama crap like a hot knife through butter.

Killing stupid regulations is a real priority. Next, decapitating the leadership of out-of-control agencies and departments.

One who has got to go is Secy of the Navy Mabus, aka “The Secretary of the Queens’ Navy”. I’ve never seen a worse SecNav in my life and I knew several leaders of the Navy and JCS.

My concern is that Trump is going to start going wobbly on his campaign promises and is going to slowly rescind or maybe even modify some of 0dumboshiite's EO's. I hope he charges full steam ahead, and follows his main campaign promises QUICKLY and not painfully slow or abandons them. Hannity is likewise concerned and it is easy to see when Hannity keeps on reminding viewers of what Trump has promised to do. Like I said... I am just concerned that Trump will not drain the swamp (I believe he has already stopped using this terminology) and keep his main campaign promises. Trump promised full steam ahead...I hope he means it and does it.

You sure sounded like a concern troll - and didn't say what you just said in your original post:

which sounded like you thought you had reason to believe he's going to back down on his promises despite all the evidence that he fully intends to follow through with everything he has.

Wanting to stop using campaign slogans (since he will now be working directly with those who he put on notice) is not a sign that he is backing down - just trying to keep from ruffling feather that don't need to be ruffled unless they get in the way. Same as not calling to lock Hillary up anymore - he knows Sessions will enforce the law and it's not seemly for a President to be sounding as if he's on a personal vendetta - that's what Democraps do.

I like Hannity but he is just as susceptible to stray rumors/statements as anyone - Newt mentioned that he thought Trump was no longer in "drain the swamp" mode and was quickly straightened out to the point he came back and admitted he was remiss in his statements. Hannity makes his living off being a self-appointed political advocate and w/o any potential "issues" his brand is less effective. Trump's appointments to date speak far louder than any of the folks who keep expressing their "concerns".

At any rate - we're all supposed to be on the same side and it can be less than helpful for folks to help the Left spread dissent/friction.
