Home Depot, the home improvement chain, plans to fill more than 80,000 jobs just in time for the spring season.
The company will be bringing on a range of employees, from cashiers to freight handlers to customer service representatives.
To make it easy to apply, potential workers can simply click apply with a smartphone or tablet.
The jobs will consist of permanent and part-time positions as well as seasonal jobs.

And you still wont be able to get any help im in the trades and use a home depot about a mile from my house silly people ask me sometimes if i need help i just tell them i know this store better than you do
Sure, you can bet on the last 8 years of failed economic indicators which America and the western world has become accustomed to.
Me? I would bet on an element of the Trump economy turning on soon... a large element. I think Home is banking on this too.

Home Depot drug tests their employees. That narrows down the pool of available skilled human reaources considerably.
Yes, they’re hiring a lot of people. I should know—I’m one of them. But as the HR manager told me, one reason they hire so many is that so many wash out. Many of them are young people who can’t seem to show up on time, or decide being a cashier is not for them, or just don’t get the concept of customer service. The middle-aged hires and older people stick around.
I’m actually excited and am enjoying it enormously. I should have done this twenty years ago. It’s not a figure of speech when I say I’m praying seriously I can hold onto it this job because I need it.

Just said the same thing to my friend this morning as a worker who has been there at least 5 years knew nothing about the product I was looking at, but came up and offered to help, and as usual, was completely clueless.
After we ditched the employee, I told my friend I know the store better than any of the workers, and hate it when they come up and ask to help. My other friend said he likes their help because he doesn’t have his glasses, so he lets the employee read the box for him (since they have to read it anyway because they haven’t a clue about what the product does.)
