I kind of agree with you. He let that dope Sen Warner trap him about if he thinks Mueller is capable as a special prosecutor and of course Sessions agreed, even knowing (or at least I’d hope he’d be aware) that Mueller is good time buddies with Comey the Leaker. Warner even went so far as to make Sessions promise or make him go on record he or Trump would not fire Mueller. I would have wanted him to tell him off and say how do you like those apples you puke.
I’d love to hear a Republican Senator say “All this stuff is a little too difficult for an old country boy to imagine, much less take part in. I mean, why, we’re not the party that gives debate questions to one candidate in advance and nobody even files any charges. They have lower-level assistants murdered in cold blood and refuse to call for a full investigation of that. Our party just doesn’t do that sort of crazy stuff. We’re simpler folk. We’re not the type that would try behind-the-scenes cloak-and-dagger stuff with a bunch of Russians. That’s for the movies.”
EVERY GOP Senator needs to follow Senator Cotton’s cue.
Mock the hoax of these political witch hunt proceedings.
End them immediately.
Eric Holder would've never allowed himself to be questioned in the first place. He wore his contempt of Congress charge as a badge of honor.
Love that Sessions. Good choice President Trump.
Sessions doesn't have the mettle. He's too timid and meek. We need guys like Holder, guys who aren't afraid to tell Congress to go f*** themselves.
Sessions is a DOPE who made one of the BIGGEST BLUNDERS in American HISTORY when he recused himself.
I have no idea what Trump was smoking when he picked this fossil, damn right HOLDER would NEVER have recused himself and NEVER allowed a Special Counsel to be appointed.
He told the GOP to piss off, they held him in contempt and he LAUGHED at them.
SESSIONS NEEDS TO GO.
Soon.
And then Obama, citing executive privilege, declined to have Holder prosecuted. "Um, ok." replied the spineless GOP.
Ever the Southern Gentleman, Sessions was clearly the big man in the room.
You got the sense that Sessions could tear Warner's arguments apart and make Warner look like a fool if he wanted to. But that's not his style.
But I did notice Lady Justice step down from her bronze pedestal and stood behind Sessions with pride. And with a steely resolve on her face, she said to the fake-patriot Warner:
Detested kite, thou liest!
My train are men of choice and rarest parts
That all particulars of duty know
And in the most exact regard support
The worships of their name.
