The show-runners of the highly anticipated new CBS Star Trek series have said their Klingons will symbolize Trump supporters in modern America.
Released on September 24th, Star Trek: Discovery will continue the show's time-honored practice of mirroring the contemporary world in a futuristic setting.
The story, set 10-years before William Shatner's Captain Kirk, will focus on the fractious early relations between the United Federation of Planets and the aggressive Klingon Empire.
However, the new update could prove controversial, with fans of the 1960s show remembering the Klingons and Federation war as an allegory for the Cold War clash of civilizations between the Soviet Union and freedom loving United States....

There was one that got a pilot made featuring Walter Koenig which was great. MUI it never got past that one (I saw it on YT).
I hope this one crashes and burns so badly that they never try this kind of crap again.
Super Girl does the same thing. TV shows did the Women and Black President thing as well. There is no doubt that the broadcast TV channels have been just feeding us propaganda for a long while.
I watched the first Super Bowl live and the first episode of Star Trek the night it was broadcast. They have both lost me and won’t get one more penny of my money.
Of course we did live through the Brady Bunch where some family adopted a Chinese, black and white child. So its been going on a long time.
Things are so foul on TV in general, I have trouble with commercials that channels that show Victoria Secret and Viagra I turn off.
There was a prophecy at one time for Christians that "a Black Box would great immorality into people's homes."
Damned shame, if true. I just want to be entertained, not lectured.
I really don’t think that they care that they might alienate half of their potential viewers. They would rather reinforce their propaganda to their like-minded fellow travelers.
I even think they would prefer us not watching, so that they don’t have to associate with us “deplorables.” So, if the show tanks, it was because we are not “enlightened” enough to watch it.

Bring back the giants who knew how to make entertainment like Louis B. Mayer, Harry Cohn, Darryl Zannuck, Sam Goldwyn, Jack Warner, Quinn Martin, etc, and etc.. These guys did not let politics interfere with business to the point of alienating their market. These guys today seem to think they ram their politics down our throats. Well they can't, we the consumer can just turn off and tune out.

In the olden golden days of motion pictures, the Big Studios kept actors and actresses under contract.
They kept their mouths shut about any controversial subject.
The studio execs knew that no matter what side you chose, half the country would not like you, so would not spend their money to see your films.
We may see a resurgence of that old system...................
