I just hope these protesting folks also refuse to wear clothes made from cotton or to use cotton towels. And if they also refuse to use rayon, dacron, and other fabrics made from petro-chemicals, all they will be left with is wool..

Whoops, can’t wear wool, it comes from mammals. And paper clothes come from sacred trees. Oh well, they’ll just have to go around naked.

Pretty soon we will be down to just wearing our skin.

Oops, that won’t work because Hitler made lamps from skin.

Just seeing lamps does that to me. /sarc

I thought it was a cherry tree too, until I saw that picture. Those apple/cherries are bigger than young GW’s head.

The REAL problem here is that ONE HUNDRED PER CENT of the people didn’t LAUGH OUT LOUD at this ridiculous comment.

This is how it starts. The next thing you know, they will be calling for the tearing down of statues of Jefferson and Washington .....but wait ....

When, it what age, will it be NOT “offensive” to display a cotton ball.

Should “blacks” quit wearing anything made of cotton now?

Does this idiotic thinking have a positive side?

Maybe it can be used to get all “blacks” to quit smoking, as next to cotton tobacco was the other major crop of southern slave owners? No? /sarc

Only hemp. Linen is made from flax, which was often used as a simile for blondes and is therefore a symbol of white supremacy. Promise. Now go donate to my Victory through Victimhood Patreon!

According to legend, it was a cherry tree.

I just did a search for "George Washington cherry" -- and, deliberately selected a period illustration that was visually ambiguous.

Here's the one that was right beside the one I posted:

~~~~~~~
Educational exercise: try searching for "George Washington apple" -- and see what results you get...
This is total insanity! That alleged customer needs to see a psychiatrist. Cotton is grown all over the world, in Asia there are records of it before 200 BC.
Will cotton be the next prohibited item to join such terrifying item as banana peels, monkeys, statues, and battle flags. What about chocolate Santas and EAster bunnies?
Nope, it was an apple tree. Over the years the evil cherry tree lobby worked to change the story. But it really was an apple tree.
(That’s my rather pathetic defense. And I’m sticking to it.)
