An event was canceled because of some student thought a banana peel that was littered in a tree was suppose to be an allusion to a hanging.

That was truly unbelievable.

These weak men will make for some hard times coming.

The student who threw the banana peel was an attendee to the the event. He apologized profusely for his insensitivity. He said he had thrown it because there wasn’t a convenient trash can and he didn’t intend to get it stuck in a tree. The entire event boggles the mind...

Maybe the snowflakes didn't associate the banana peel with anything racist. Perhaps they were traumatized after watching It's a Mad Mad World, where Ethel Merman, as the "battleaxe" mother in law slips on a banana peel and lands flat on her butt while running her big mouth

I think the offense was that as everyone knows, monkeys and apes like bananas, and, of course, as everyone who is a person of color also knows, negroes are perceived as just semi-evolved monkeys and apes, hence the offense.
